Serious question

For context, alabama state (T-2nd in SWAC) beat them 10-2 earlier this season

Does the winner of the SEC baseball tournament get an automatic postseason bid like they do in basketball?

I can both see why baseball languishes and be amazed it does so poorly when it comes to Missouri. The state loves baseball, Missouri State has been quite successful in it, and they have two pro teams for Pete's sake!

But the support and interest just don't seem to be there from the flagship school.

I would start mocking them but... Arkansas produces a surplus of female basketball talent, we have the facilities, we have the SEC clout... and we were lucky to get a coach with an extremely mediocre record. We don't have the support or the interest.

Sometimes a school just can't be bothered with a given sport.

We've had mediocre-to-bad teams for a long time, but nothing as embarrassing as this team. The scores are indicative of a team that is not only untalented, but they just don't care. That's unacceptable, and if they don't fire this cat now, just shut the program down.

I asked the other day but have not seen the answer. What is the worst team ERA in SEC history? Have to think Mizzou has a shot at it.
