It's as much a part of the great days of Bball as the ball and the hoop. But, talking shite and then shitting your pants is not a great method. Mj and Bird were all time great shite talkers.
Happens in almost all sports to varying degrees. It's just more out there to see on a shooty hoops court and is, admittedly for the fun of the game, more prevalent in basketball.
