Ty Simpson could not beat out Milroe and Alabama fans think he will be an elite QB?

If he starts the entire season DeBoer gets fired.

Look man, we all know Milroe was allowed to start or awarded the starting position because DeBoer was new and didn’t want to shake things up and start off on the wrong foot.
He’s basically admitted this.

He cannot be worse.
...and I've seen him play. He's better than Milroe.

Or he could live up to his expectations and be a great QB.

I think your post is incorrect. Simpson was never going to start. I think we would have beat Michigan in the playoffs if Simpson would have started.

So why not bench Milroe vs Oklahoma or something and let someone else play?
That makes no sense.

Because Milroe was asked to stay. The staff was told a large number of players would leave if Milroe left or didn’t start.
Why do you think Saban retired.
DeBoer personally thanked our starting 2 receivers who transferred after the season for waiting till the end of the season to leave.
You remember LANK?
We were infected with LANK disease last season and DeBoer was scared to pop the pimple.

Coaches have a tendency to play upperclassmen and that is what probably happened at bama.

So the other players are watching a better quarterback in Simpson at practice every week but are so hitched to Milroe that they'd rather lose with him?
And DeBoer let the players make that call?
That seems like a dumpster fire.

Yet dominated LSU in Kelly’s 3rd year.
I will wait to judge DeBoer in his 3rd year, which is what Kelly asked for.

Which is great, if that's all you want your team to do.

At least he didn’t kill anyone...

He leaves that to your basketball team

Could somebody post a link to an interview or an article where something like these words come out of DeBoer's own mouth? I'm not saying that this absolutely isn't what happened, I'm just wondering why everyone feels so certain that this is the reason why Milroe played in every meaningful snap this year.

If Deboer doesn’t get fired will you get fired? From here? Please?

So bama hired a coach that knew the better quarterback was sitting on the sidelines but was too big of a pussy to play the guy that gave him the best chance to win?
I think that would be worse than Simpson not being able to beat Milroe out.

“Our new coach got cucked by his players”
Hell of an argument

By the way - this is total message board bullshite that has never been confirmed by a single legitimate source

Fwiw, Nick Saban was 3 yards from having Jalen Milroe in the National Title. Finished 6th in Heisman voting that year

Couldn’t hit 10 wins with DeBelly

Because he knew his domination of CFB ended with the beginning of NIL.
