Hell yeah it is, and if you only knew how much more embarrassing it is that it was the team 1.5 hours away, who they NEVER lose to.
Seriously, there are probably more UT fans in Johnson City than ETSU fans, and that's stupid.
This is truly a great win for my alma mater, even sweeter it was against those orange fricks (madmaxvol you don't count)

I’m getting downvoted for saying the same thing. Proud of our Bucs tonight. Happy if anyone is going to beat Vols, it’s ETSU.
Wish UT still played the state schools home and away. Damn shame. A return game in Johnson City would be a damn blast.
My second ever college game I saw Todd Helton and Bubba Trammel Vols squeeze one out in extras over the Bucs in Cardinal Park in 1995. Damn shame they stopped doing that.

About to be way more than just the Bucs.

Pals is awful. Johnson City people are weird about that restaurant. You would think it was something like In and Out, but nope.

Did they finally win a game?

I have family who went to, and teached at, ETSU. They're all Tennessee fans. It makes sense, that's prison orange country.
What's stupid is expecting them to be ETSU fans. Where I'm from in Georgia there is a small college nearby, but everyone backs Georgia. They might back the small school TOO, but no one is just a fan of the small school.
You are a bit dumb, aren't you? Oh, you're a liberal. I remember now.

Oh, so you're not proud to be a fan of your hometown's school?
It's more of a "these Tri-Cities folk act as if they live in Knoxville instead of northeast Tennessee". In which they don't.
I'm a Bama fan but don't claim to be from Tuscaloosa. But you bet your arse I'd pull for my Bucs over the Tide if they ever played each other in any sport, which they have I believe.
Mr. Fellows aka alter, kindly suck my blue and gold balls, GO BUCS frick GEORGIA
ETA:
What's your hometown college? Let's compare them to ETSU and see what's different.

This is out of touch with the area. Just about everyone in E. TN will identify with either Knoxville or Nooga and most UTC alums are UTK fans too. Just the way it is.
It doesn’t mean people don’t cheer for the Mocs, Bucs, Maryville College or Carson Newman etc. But ETSU wouldn’t have football were it not for a TON of support from UT.

I think you meant to say the football team is there because of the students. When I was attending, SGA and ALL STUDENTS voted to get football back in exchange for a tuition hike.
Sadly, all the new shite on campus came from our tuition money and none of the students were there to see it completed.
So, you're kinda wrong, kinda right.
Also, don't forget about Milligan!

I'd say that's probably true for any state that has multiple Universities. Know all kinds of UofL fans who went to Western Kentucky and would root for UofL over WKU. And there's as many Kentucky fans in the Louisville area as Louisville fans.
Just within a 2 hour drive of my house there is (just D1 schools):
University of Louisville
University of Kentucky
Eastern Kentucky University
Western Kentucky University
Bellarmine University
Northern Kentucky University
Morehead State University
Folks are primarily rooting for UK and UofL whether they attended those smaller schools or not.
