Well Tony V won a national championship quicker as a HC than little JJ. JJ was already a seasoned veteran with like 6 years under his belt prior to LSU. Vitello was a rookie HC taking over one of the worst programs in the country with the worst facilities. Tony didn’t get left with a loaded roster with MLB talent on it. Tony built it form the ground up and have been to Omaha 3 of the last 4 years.
Tony has coached 6 full seasons and been to Omaha half of them.
