Their pitching is good, but when teams do hit the ball, it doesn't have to travel very far to get out of the park.. therefore, a large percentage of their hits are home runs..

Should do Hits allowed per inning. Some teams have played more games and other teams have run ruled for less innings.

It's so important, they should use that as the sole criterion in Omaha. Of the 8 teams, who has the biggest outfield? They win!

Lies, damn lies and statistics. This is meaningless.

Take for example Georgia vs. Tennessee. Who would you rather be?

Georgia 56 hits, 2 homers, 3.6%

Tennessee 23 hits, 4 homers, 17.4%

Georgia - they gave up 1 hit per inning 54 times and 2 home runs with no one on.

Tennessee - gave up 4 grand slams and 19 triples with the bases loaded from all the walks.

2 runs < 73 runs

Oh, that isn't what happened? How was I to know? The stat isn't a great one either way..

The post you responded to says HRs allowed. Now, I've not verified what was posted but, if correct, that tells me that UT has better pitching and that UT also has a band box.
