He’s talented.
Also he knows he’s got work to do.
I assume our team this year is stacked.

I saw somewhere where he had enough points to go pro but he loves college. Last years NC was so fun to watch, looking forward to this season.

It’s golf you never know, but as it stands now his future looks bright. Golf has got to be the hardest sport to sustain a career at an elite level.

Did Trevino wear Rhoback, FootJoy, or Peter Millar?

A good bit of youth sports has been “professionalized.”
Good luck learning anything if you are not already polished as a player in middle school.
Nothing can be just for fun anymore. Got to train year around. No breaks.

Tell me about it!
When I was a kid I hung out at the recreation park all summer long. If I was not playing or practicing, I was watching other teams play or picking up fun little games on an extra field. Then, there were at least 5 teams in my age group at Underwood in Petersville (Florence Al.) and there wasnt any going to different schools or ballparks to play. I played against top talent, one of them just inducted into the UNA HOF. From that pool, there was an all-star team assembled, and only that team traveled.
Nowadays youth sports are a lot less relaxed and the rec lagues are for the parents that are' less serious' or bad parents like the travel ball parents like to imply.
Only benefit is these days the younger athletic studs are more willing to keep up their boujee lifestyle so I can find personal hitting lessons for my girls pretty much whenever I need it.

Very true.
Lots of Auburn folks had high hopes for Dufner, even though his Auburn career was average, and he ended up with I think 5 tour victories and 1 major.
Matt Kuchar at Tech was a 2 time All-American and only has 9 career tour wins and no majors.

I'm not old enough yet for golf.
Been putting that off for the later years.
