This morning heard some noises and after checking saw a squirrel in our crawl space. Didn’t see a mess or debris so I hope it just got in there. My son said he heard something last night but not before. Borrowing a trap and hoping to catch it today.

Does anyone know if squirrels can have babies in January? I really don’t want to have to ferret through my whole attic looking for a nest.

Probably a little cold for having babies, hopefully you catch it before March. Make sure if you do, you inspect all the soffit and chimney areas where might have got in.

Got a trap from a buddy so going to wait until we hear it and go up there and blast music or bang around while the wife and kids are positioned outside. Hopeful we can find the exit.

Was living in a basement and had a field mouse problem. Used one of the sticky traps in the utility room. For home from class one day and not only did I catch a mouse, I had also captured a fricking snake trying to eat the mouse.

Felt bad for the snake and tried to peel him off. Scales stuck to it like crazy. Don't think I'd use a sticky trap again. Also went to live traps for the mouse.

Similarly, had a sticky in the garage that caught a few bugs, and a lizard that tried to eat the bugs.

Sticky trap in attic could be a problem. They rarely get all 4 legs trapped. They will run around l8ke crazy.

Go with the metal trap.

When a squirrel or mouse or snake or whatever comes inside your house, they are violating at least 2 of the Twelve Deadly Sins. All they had to do was not come in the house like all of the other animals in the neighborhood. They deserve it. frick them!

Who was it in here that several years ago posted about squirrels in the attic? Funniest shite. Or was that the lounge?

They’ve left a scent that will attract other squirrels even if you trap one. You need to find where they came in and plug it

Yes, the flying squirrels come and go from my attic. But none this year so far, which I am thankful for.

Did you ever get it out?

I have a trap baited n the attic with deer corn…we’ll see if I can get the little bastard in the morning when he’s up and about.

The trap never got anything but I think a king snake got up in there and took care of the job.

Do what I did and get some IR cams and put them up there, download the video, and keep us updated.
