1. Notre Dame win a national championship in the next 1-3 years and make Brian Kelly look foolish for his comments about ND not able to win it all in modern football.

2. Freeman lose to Penn State this week. Bring ND to playoffs next year. Get out out in first or second game. Freeman gets offered an NFL job and takes it. ND fans then crucify him like they did Kelly. This would seem to legitimize Kelly’s comments.

I would put my money on #2 happening way before #1.

3. Day loses to Michigan again and gets fired and Freeman gets hired at OSU.

Top water trout might actually have the scenario that plays out. It’s no secret that OSU fans have grown tired of Day choking to Michigan. Especially this year, even though Michigan seems to have turned a corner. Freeman would be a solid replacement there but I doubt he leaves ND unless it is for a NFL job.

If OSU wins this year it would be hard to fire him even if they lose to michigan next year. He played for OSU and I love to mess with my ND buddy that he will be the next OSU coach
