Buckeyes Stole FSUs Offense

They essentially installed a superficial version of it after being embarrassed by Michigan. That’s why they’re blowing teams out. Nobody knows what to expect when they take the field because they’re running concepts no one has seen OSU display on film before. They’re running Norvells Memphis/FSU counter game. Texas seen a ton of that stuff last week vs ASU, same coaching tree. Defense played way too many snaps, but we shut it down when we were fresh. If Texas comes to play on offense, don’t be suprised if the Buckeyes look mortal again.

Pulled this from PFF huh?
Not to mention that these passing concepts are Ryan Day 2017-2020 concepts before Stroud was the best QB in the country in 21-22.

I guess it helps if you have the players to incorporate that offense. And as average as Ryan day is, he must be leaps and bounds better than Mike Norvell

Do they though? That patchwork offensive line wasn’t moving anyone off the ball prior to that three week hiatus.

I don’t know what they’ve been doing but they weren’t even supposed to beat Tennessee. Something changed and in a big way

Radical schematic deviation. Which is a great gameplan in my opinion for talented teams who back their way into the post-season. If you got a guy on staff who can install some new concepts to replace things that you didn’t do well all regular season, why not?

I guess the Buckeyes and the Horns have backing into the playoffs in common. Although the path was much more difficult for OSU. They had to play Oregon in the Rose Bowl. Texas got to play a one dimensional Clemson and one player named Skattebo.

They were favored by a TD.

The national media had OSU buried after Michigan. Millions of people heard it. I heard it. Tennessee’s game plan was terrible

How do you steal an offense?

Good for them. I don’t gamble on point spreads anyways

They countered the frick out of Alabama and Oregon in 2014. This isn't something new.

It was also pretty stupid to go out in warmups shirtless to try to prove your toughness in that cold. fricking dumbasses.

Can’t argue with any of that. Heupel is overrated as frick

Didn't OSU traditionally run gap schemes with counter? Haven't watched them much this year but if there was a significant change, it was probably reverting away from Kelly's zone scheme and back to what they knew.

These schemes have always been there, they just waited until the playoffs to run them for some reason. If you look during the season, they ran bits and pieces of the different schemes. This is what has frustrated a lot of fans this year, because it was always there and it wasn’t used. If we would’ve ran this vs UM, it would be like the last 2 games and worse.
