After watching Miss. State Saturday, I'm not sure they don't belong in there as well.

They did jump up 3 spots at least.

By far the best the SEC has been in bball.

And everyone but USC, LSU, and Texas receiving votes.

The strongest, so far, any conference has ever been.
It won't end with so many in the Top 25 because those polls skew to wins and losses more than schedule strength.
But, it would seem there will be a number of 9-9 SEC teams getting 5 to 7 seeds in the tourney.

Didn't Texas used to be good? Like a million years ago?

Imagine being #10 in the ENTIRE COUNTRY... and not even top *5* in your conference.
That's insane.

Don't you put that voodoo on us.
We're happy where we are. No one is talking about the 7th highest rated team in the conference.

3 Iowa State (12-1)
12 Houston (10-3)
19 Memphis (12-3)

6 out of the top 10. Something's gonna give.

I think Oklahoma is the paper tiger in the ranked group. NET of 45. SOS of 223.
I know their first loss was Saturday, but they looked awful. I want to see them at home against A&M this week before I completely write them off.

My alma mater UC-San Diego checks in with a first ever vote in the coaches poll!

Iowa st and duke should not be ranked ahead of Alabama or Kentucky either to be honest. Just based on resume alone

Thank goodness the basketball committee, unlike the football committee, no longer pays any attention to "poll logic".
But, yeah, the polls always reveal an unevenly applied hodgepodge of criteria.
Team A loses a razor close game to Team B on the road. Team A falls numerous spots while Team B shoots up the rankings when that result suggests more the opposite than anything.

Especially considering we beat them.
And almost every time you go to a college basketball site there's a picture of Flagg and/or a Duke article is the main lead. Guess they're all the ACC has this year so we'll get a healthy dose of them the rest of the season.
I try not to hate, but they make it hard.

Kentucky beat Duke. Does head to head not matter?

Too early OP. Only, 30% of the season has been played.

In an AP poll? Nope. I think they just tap Dick Vitale’s phone and post teams based on his rambling.
