Happy New Year baws. Just a new place to discuss anything not related to Auburn QBs, shite coaches and transfer portals....

Gun show this weekend and Lanier is getting a new carry. Talked about it before but got some scratch saved up and Im looking to spend it this weekend. Also looking for a speed loader for my Glock 17 and AR.

Everyone in the world seems to be sick right now. Trying to stay away but the gun show may not be possible to distance.

If you go to a gunshow and feel inspired to buy something let me know.

I already have too many guns but I can always convince myself I need it at a moment's notice.

I love gun shows. Unfortunately I want just about everything I see there and almost always spend more than I intended. I hope you have a great time and find a good deal.

I have a Glock 17 and 19 and have had love both of them.

I may look at the 43X and 26. I also want to look at the Sig 365 and the Ruger max-9.

Its been a while since I bought a new hand gun. Want to look around. Dont want to break the bank either.

I would like something I can put in my pocket

For an EDC I would recommend the S&W M&P Shield Plus. Perfect size. Perfect amount of ammo and great price. 2nd best factory triggers in the business only behind Walther

Also you’ll hate the 365 it’s so snappy.

Another good pocket gun is the Walther PDP-F. Designed for females but great micro compact. Great trigger, very easy to rack

I have 2 of the P365s , original model and newer version. Great pistol for summer EDC … when I’m wearing shorts . Hard to beat Sig for off-the-shelf performance, same with glocks. Lots of aftermarket parts and kits available too.

If you’re planning to shoot suppressed , I do not recommend the P365 …. ruins the weight balance on such a light frame, IMO.

If you want a 380 the ruger security is a really good little gun for very cheap.

Don’t use cheap ammo in it tho

Is the Shield Plus a larger version of the Shield?

If you like your glocks but want a more stylish model try the Shadow Systems CR920. Basically a Glock with upgraded everything. Not low budget tho

Shield plus holds more in the mag

The performance center version is a hair bigger

Thanks. I will look at it when Im down there this weekend. I really want to have some thing I can keep in my back pack that I carry everyday in and out of work and just pocket it when I need to. The area I work in is not exactly a safe area and I work very earl and late hours. I put my 19 in my bag and pocket it when I want in and out of work at late hours and have in inside my shop when I am here late at night alone.

I have shot all I’ve mentioned above except the Shadow Systems but I’ve shot a larger model of theirs.

Shadow Systems used to make upgrades for Glocks. Now they make their own guns plus all fancy stuff. But you cost a couple hunnit more

Just wear a facemask and you'll be fine (sarcasm)

Buddy of mine got me into building an AR a while back, slowly starting that process. Another hobby of endless tinkering to get sucked into. Hooray

On an unrelated note, congrats to one of our own for winning Miss America, Abbie Stockard

I can just barely put my pinky on the Sig P365XL

Will the C920 be too small for me?

I haven’t shot or held the XL so not sure. How many rounds does the XL hold?

The shadow systems has a 10 rd and 13 rd mag
