I hope we can survive it.

As long and milroe is gone we’ll be fine

There is nobody on this roster that is a must keep including #2.
Let them leave.
Let them leave.

How long does he have to make a decision?

Just my opinion but I feel like the team knows or they would have hit the portal before the bowl game if him coming back was the determining factor

Maybe so, but after today's performance, who is gonna draft him? In sure he'd make more money playing another year at the collegiate level.
That's what I worry about!!

Im just glad he was focused on this game and not his future! It could have been bad!

Seriously, if the entire offensive starting lineup was gone minus Miller and Williams I wouldn’t bat an eye.

If he comes back I’ll change my opinion on CKD and say he’s spine less

Yep. If Byrne isn’t doing interviews by Sunday evening, we’re in for a few more 9-4, 8-5 seasons

Probably so, but there's no law saying Bama has to be the school that pays him...let Miami or some other suckers do that.

Milroe probably made a fortune off of the Michigan game.

I think he is going to turn pro. However, he isn't ready for the nfl. the performance in this game showed he needs to improve. He didn't improve all season which is impressive. We had receivers running wide open all day long and he never saw them. I think because of the NIL he could make more money in the long run which is such a concern. If it wasn't for NIL i would feel completely confident in him turning pro.

You guys need to let it play out.
The real question is who is left in the QB room after the spring portal. I think Russell is a wishful thinking to take the job.. Hopefully Mack is further along

And if he is doing interviews we're in for 5-7 years before we even make a bowl appearance again. Fire DeBoer after year one and you tank the program completely. You'd lose every decent player we have, have to pay a huge buyout when we're already scraping the barrell for NIL funds, and no good, let alone great, coach is taking the job after seeing DeBoer get shitcanned after one average season.

Who is he getting it from? I doubt the Bama collective is willing to pay him another cent. His LANK merch sales are going to go completely in the shitter. Maybe he enters the portal and some QB desperate team pays him. His best bet is probably to declare for the draft and hope to blow away teams at the combine with his athleticism and hope some idiot GM thinks they can fix him.

Nah, I don’t believe that. Most coaches would just see it as Alabama firing an incompetent coach who is in over his head.
We could still land a great coach. Hell, I know one who would crawl on his knees to get there.
But, if you’re right, then either way (whether we fire him or not), we had better settle in and become comfortable with mediocrity. That’s where we are, now, and if you’re to be believed, then there is no way out. We’re stuck.
And in that case, we had better start looking for the AD who will make the next hire since the present AD shite the bed with his 5-minute coaching search that never even left the Pacific Northwest and the fricking Pac12 conference.

Who? The only great coach in college football currently is Kirby Smart and he's not crawling to Bama. The only coach I can think of who would crawl to Bama is Lane Kiffin, and he's yet to even reach the good coach level, much less great. Let's see him actually put two good seasons together.

He won his conference at Florida Atlantic twice and posted their only 10-win seasons in their entire history twice in 3 years. They hadn’t been above .500 in over a decade before him.
He’s about to have his 3rd 10-win season (including 1 11-win season) at perennially-mediocre bottom-dweller Ole fricking Miss.
Provided he beats Duke in the bowl game, that will be 5 10-win seasons in the last 8 years….. at mediocre programs like Florida Atlantic and Ole Miss.
He’s almost inarguably the best offensive mind in college football history and has proven his abilities on the field including taking a damn running back and almost making him a Championship-winning quarterback.
Meanwhile, the incompetent fricking clown we hired cant even dress himself much less win 10 games with one of the most talented teams at the best program in college football history and doesn’t have the fricking balls to pull a fricking joke of a QB, and got ran off the field by one of his own damn players… without consequence.
I understand you (and several others, here, and in our athletic department) have an extremely irrational hatred for Kiffin, but you don’t get to just spew nonsensical bullshite, here, just because you want to. You’re entitled to your own uninformed opinion, but not your own facts.

Would I rather have Kiffin than that fricking Mountain West loser we have, now? You’re goddamn right I would.
Will it ever happen? Unfortunately, probably not, as winning doesn’t seem to be important to those making the hiring decisions.
However, we could still get someone at least competent. That’s all I ask. What we have now is not that.

Do you not understand that we would have to write DeBoer a check for $60 million if we fired him right now?
We’re shooting a short stick on NIL now compared to other schools in this new world, it would decimate the program to have to write that check.
I disagree with your assessment of the guy although I respect your right to your opinion, but he’s going to be coach for at least two more seasons, period, and no amount of message board talk from fans is going to change that.
If he hasn’t turned it around by then, he’s gone.
I prefer to look at the glass as being half full and that he’ll turn it around.
