They were blown out by OU and now play an unranked MI team in their bowl.

Good luck on actually winning one. The bar has certainly been lowered enough that it should be easy for a change.
Although at the same time, that lower bar is the only reason Texas made it.

Alabama is still the most talked about team in college football.
More than any playoff team, despite not making the playoffs. Because Alabama has made it so often - and before the DEI playoffs, that it's a bigger news story that they didn't make it than it was your team making it.
Even here Alabama threads dominate the forum. The OP made a thread about Texas, but still couldn't help but mention Alabama.

Because we didn't play the Texas schedule.
You barely beat Vandy by 3. Imagine if you had to play them the way after you beat Georgia.

I think it means we are inconsistent and that the players took the game for granted after beating a top ranked team in Georgia the week prior.
A bunch of entitled players who desperate got the lesson they needed.
Texas also played Georgia the week before playing Vandy. But you got blown out by Georgia and then managed to beat Vandy by only 3.
Probably would have gotten blown out if you had beat Georgia.
