to the curb.

After reading several SECCG thread posts from various sites, this is my favorite.

"UGA may not be able to beat Texas a third time. We (Alabama) may have to do it."

A week after the SECCG, you're reading the game thread on TideFans. This isn't the flex you think it is.

I don't think we've ever had a matchup happen 3 times in a season.

But we've had 8 rematches of regular season matchups in the SECCG. The team that won the first one won the second six times (including this year). I think the idea that beating the same team twice is harder is a bit overstated.

I’ll admit. Kirby schooled Sark the first time. His mixed coverages shocked the Texas offense. Created a bunch of short fields. Texas was too slow to adjust. The 2nd time, Texas had the upper hand schematically. Quinn just couldn’t make a play. Even when he would hit guys, it was never in stride so they could score. Georgia tried to turn the ball over as much as the first meeting, but the football just wasn’t bouncing our way. Super frustrating game to watch. Lots of meat on that bone.

Yeah, it's not really about whether Georgia can beat Texas a third time.

Quinn has been up and down this year. He struggles with blitz concepts that should not be an issue for a 3rd year starter that has had the same coaches and system. Still, he is not the reason Texas lost to UGA in OT.

Texas had more WR drops in that game than any other game this season. Between that and the missed field goals, that is why we lost.

Wrong. Texas can beat Bama. It's UGA with the problem.

Tide Fans site?

Good Lord, I'm a lifelong Bama fan but that site is mostly populated and certainly administered by mental cases

Until Milroe is gone, this year is over, and Deboer gets his system in place, Then we start to talk if Bama can get back in the level of elite teams. EVery year since Milore has been QB has been balls.

You're not a real Tide fan unless you've been banned from Tidefans.

I would guess that the B1G committee doesn't want any SEC team winning it all which is why there are 4 B1G teams in the playoffs.

You don’t have to scour the internet if you want to find dumb SEC takes. Just use the search feature here and input your handle.

Honest question. Do you think his inability was due to his grasping of certain concepts, or do you think it was a coaching problem...coaches not doing a good job?

I think we led the P4 in dropped passes this past year. It was almost like somebody put something in the footballs that gave our receivers an electric shock if they touched the ball.
