Chicken doesn't want stickied threads. He ruined this board.
He mistakenly believed this would drive more traffic to more pages. Instead it has driven off our most dedicated posters.
ETA: I'd love to know where Alabama_Fan went so I could follow his threads there.

Yes and it was the best thread on the board by far and very active. The basketball discussion this year has fallen off.

Alabama_Fan stopped posting. Chadaristic stopped posting. SoG rarely posts anymore. We've lost a lot of quality content on here. I don't really blame them though. This board is slowly descending to Rant level shite posting.

Said this very thing. I go days without looking at this page now. I followed it daily before, mainly the basketball thread once I quit following football recruiting as much.

The threads about literally every Alabama team were the primary reason to frequent this board outside of football season. There will be some posting during basketball season, but outside of that this place will be completely dead.

Unless he can somehow get the posters who ran those threads to come back to the board (Alabama_Fan, specifically), I'm not sure it matters. The damage is done.

Chicken didn't make a good decision. There's a saying... If it ain't broken, don't FIX it!
Instead of worrying about stickied threads, he should be focusing on improving the site as a whole. It's not fair LSU gets their own recruiting page but Alabama doesn't get one.
If you want to bring more people to the site, how about implementing rules on bully, trolling and other things. There's ton of other things on this site that needs improvements instead of a damn stickied threads.

Edit to add, I wasn’t a fan of everything little topic being a stickied thread and it got overused imo, but having a basketball sticky during the season shouldn’t be too much to ask.
