It's poster board material, but he isn't wrong.

If you can play at Tiger Stadium, Bryant Denny, Sanford, Ben Hill Griffin, Kyle, etc. you can play anywhere in the country.

Much as I hate to agree with the stinking Vols about anything, it’s not anywhere near as loud as Neeland. Part of that is probably from packing 100k into an 80k stadium.

I think this is going to be the best game of the first round

You forget Tennessee pumps in artificial sound into the stadium

He did play for Ohio state so I’m sure he has a good idea of how loud it gets..

This is the truth. He didn't need to say it, but anyone who plays in the big conferences shouldn't be "intimidated" by going to someone else's house.

It’s different when you’ve got the learned experience to make the statement rather than some guy that’s never been there mouthing off.

The stadium was built with a track around the field. Any stadium that was built with a track around the field will never be elite in terms of crowd noise.

Hmm got any data on how the presence of a track negatively impacts acoustics?

No?

Y’all realize he wasn’t referring to Neyland but to other SEC schools? He was paying you assholes a compliment.

Disagree. My farts are louder than Noland Stadium in Knoxville.

It's not very basic common sense that the further the fans are from the field, the further that fan noise will have to travel lol?

I do love the party line thing that happens here too.

Certain stadiums in the SEC are louder than OSU for most games for sure.

However, Vandy, Miss. St (sans cowbell), Ole Miss, Kentucky etc. are not as loud as OSU is.

OSU is probably on par with the 3-6 stadiums in the SEC when it is rocking. It should be rocking in 10 days

I’ve been to a couple games in the horseshoe . It’s loud as most sec stadiums . I hope the vols pull it off but highly unlikely

Stadium seating angles and distances from the field (along with materials of construction) will have a huge acoustical impact with regards to reflective noise. I haven't seen the measurements, but Neyland Stadium appears to be more vertical, which would reflect more noise back onto the field. That could just be from the camera angles...but steeper/taller is better than wider.

I would bet they played in louder stadiums as the road team this year.
