It sure as frick wasn't for Georgia. We don't have to play again until January 1st and we're chilling on the same side of the bracket as Notre Dame, Indiana, Boise State and Penn State.

Still on cloud 9 from Saturday's game, too. It was a really fun game week and all of the hype leading up to playing Texas again in their first year in the SEC, and it was a lot of fun beating Texas again in their first year in the SEC again and watching the confetti fall.

And if you fast forward to the last minute of the video, it sure as frick wasn't a meaningless game for our players either.

Some of you college football scientists and nerds raised by ESPN and ESPN talking points need to understand that SEC football isn't played on paper or on the internet. It's played in packed stadium and it's intense!

The game is pretty much the same as it's always been; high risk and high reward.

We are well aware of the massive rewards bestowed upon us after Saturday, which are numerous. But if we'd lost and picked up a 3rd loss on the season we are potentially out of the playoffs entirely and playing in some no-name bowl in tampa instead of alabama.

You can certainly argue it was "meaningless" for texas who was 1000% in the playoffs regardless of what happened.

A 9 win bama was never going to jump a 10 win uga.

For UGA
+1 Bye
-1 Starting QB

Definitely not meaningless

bama may not have made it but perhaps miami does. Who knows. All I'm saying is that with how low the committee has seeded us later in the season, I wouldn't feel comfortable at all with making it with 3 losses.

Miami was behind bama, so they weren’t jumping bama and also uga.

There was no “bye week”. ND was resting last week. You still have to play as many games.

Notre Dame has to play 4 playoff games. This would be like the Chiefs or Lions resting all of their key players in Week 18 even if they knew a loss would mean that they wouldn't get a bye.

Nah, never meaningless.

I bet it wouldn't have been meaningless for Milroe if he could play Georgia one more time.

A first round draft pick got injured in a meaningless game and robbed him of the ability to play in the playoffs. There is no changing that but you can try to color it any way you want.

Were you asking because you didn't know? Now that you know, what is your point?

Hip swivel sounded a little over confident was my point.... a lot like Bama was last year with getting to play Michigan.... times they are a changing. This ND team is MUCH better than any UGA or Bama has played in the past...
