Huge turnaround from last year to this point.

I don’t think kU is the number one team in the country. But they’re certainly quality opposition and Gates and his guys handled them.

Mitchell plays downhill. Bates is showing us why he was a top recruit. Ant has been a super soph. Grill was on fire before going out. And there’s lots and lots of space eating rebounders.

We should have some exciting games at the arena this winter. That’s what I wanted to see.

Josh Gray was a big portal add. This team has a chance to make the tournament but SEC season will be a grind.

Yeah this team is extremely athletic and the roster is deep. They will never be noticeably smaller or less athletic than anyone they play like past Mizzou teams have been. The scoring droughts that Gates’ teams go on are still a concern but at least we have a competitive team again. Awesome win yesterday

Hopefully he learned you can’t play stall ball with ten fricking minutes left in the game against a rival though.

I dont disagree. I'm hoping that DG's mindset was such that we all knew the ku run would come so accept it but shorten the game as much as possible in the meantime.

I dont see any way this team becomes capable of slowed down half court execution. This team will need to lean on its athleticism to score points.

Gates played into the game hard a took his team and the Arena with him. That atmosphere was late 80s Hearnes intense.

That was rough to watch and his rotations still don't make sense at all. On the road those droughts will leave them out of games quickly.
Mitchell-I finally understood why he was at Duke in the first half. he disappeared in the 2nd. If he gets downhill he can score against anyone. It's too bad he is terrible at the line because he can get there 10 times a game if he wants. His shot is horrific to watch.

Warrick has been my sneaky favorite player this year but he wasn't ready to roll last night. Ant is nails and loved him coming out of High School. He was always going against higher rated players but his team was winning the actual game. I thought he was hesitant early on. Him and Harris are very similar players.
Gray played great and that was a great matchup for him that most teams don't have an answer for. Our roster certainly provides options.
