They should’ve kept the BCS. Just saying…

Everything that has happened since was for TV revenue. They could barely find a 4 seed that didn’t get blown out.
Now, here we are with a 12 team bitching about 2 and 3 loss teams being worthy.

Imagine they went to an 8 team. What’s the difference between 8 & 9?
No, they made it 12 so it was so muddy they could literally pick whatever they wanted and folks would be both correct and wrong about multiple loss teams.
$$$$ grab.

Yep. But we’ll be at 14 or 16 teams instead within a couple of years, and probably wont end there. Change is not always great.

At least I have other years to celebrate than an almost perfect season. What is yours as an Ole Miss fan?

One thing, no matter how many teams there will always be bitching.
Football 12 teams, check
Baseball 64 teams, check
Basketball, 64 teams plus some extra play-in teams, check.
There is no perfect number. Having 12 at least gives more teams chances.
Old college football system is gone. Used to be no playoffs.
I will say, seeds 5-12 must win 4 games at different venues against top teams to win it all. I’m intrigued to see how it shakes out. I think we’ll see some great games too.

No I pine for 2019, when LSU won a national championship. You do know what that is don’t you? Oh wait!

Maybe they want bowl games where players don’t opt out.

That’s rich considering LSU won a national championship with 2 losses to unranked teams.

Did you somehow take offense to a topic that actually benefited Bama for years?
Jesus time to move on from not making the playoffs. It’s not all about Bama

Yeah, I hate that we ultimately waste a spot on teams like Cincinnati in 21/22 or TCU in 22/23. The media loves this Cinderella narrative, but the product is almost always terrible.
I guess that's why they did this whole thing though — it's really nothing but a "participation" playoff.
Barring something major, it's most likely that the same teams will win the 12-team playoffs as did the 4-four team, as did the BCS. Just like the lower-division NCAA football playoffs where the #1 or #2 seeds usually win.
This year that's most likely Oregon, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Texas.
If we really wanted competition, we should've just kept the computers.

Damn, there’s a Tiger with some courage and a brain. 100% accurate. I believe like bell bottoms and Sunday morning service. We always go back, one day.
