I like the Hilton on the river. Warp speed elevators, Drago’s char grilled oysters downstairs, and right by the casino.

Then you can decide on whether to take a right to walk over vomit piles in the quarter or take a left and drink/eat in the sanitized area around Mannings. Before walking to the dome

Embassy Suites Warehouse District. Not a bad walk to the dome. Near Mother's, Dragos, Mulates.

I know nothing about NO. What district is the Dome in and how close is the airport?

I have but unfortunately in a losing effort. But been many other times to NO. We stayed in the French Quarter and you can (and we did) walk to the stadium-many fans did this.

Airport is 15-20 minutes away, Uber, warehouse district is separated from the Quarter by Canal Street and is a nice place to stay away from the New Years Nutz in the Quarter. Harrahs is real close if you gamble. Dome is about 6-8 blocks away.

Been to a couple but been a few years. Courtyard was actually my favorite other than an Airbnb. Many of the nicer hotels are dumps.

Honestly the city was pretty trashy last time I went. Not sure we are gonna make the trip this time.

I'm not saying this flippantly or to be internet cute. New Orleans is an absolute shithole and you need to keep your head on a swivel. If your sole intent is to see the game, stay right next to the dome. If you want to make a vacation out of it, make this same post on the travel board for insider info.

I was there in October of last year. So about 14 months ago. It was my 4th trip there.

I was absolutely amazed how shitty things have gotten there. Broad daylight junkies sleeping and/or dead in the sidewalk so you have to step over them. Crazy shite you might see on youtube you will see with your own eyes in real life. A big city like ATL has places you just don't go to, but NOLA is a small enough city where they can't really partition off the trash and keep it confined. It's a shame what has happened to New Orleans.

New Orleans has always been a dangerous filthy degenerate neck tattooed shithole. They’re proud of it

Besides the warp speed appearance of gay and trans flags and hideous graffiti on everything, after the statues were defeated, it’s still basically the same shithole imo

that's where we're staying.

As you mention they are famous for their char grilled oysters. Last sugar bowl trip I went to I was aware of that and was excited to try them even though I'm not really much of an oyster guy. For some reason that I still don't know, I didn' t get them. Don't know what I got. At completely random times out of the blue, I will occasionally think about that and wonder wtf I didn't get the oysters. So now I am hellbent on getting the oysters this go around.

right by the casino.

speaking of, I'm a gambling novice and have a question. I see that Caesar's has a sportsbook. If I place a bet on a sporting event in the future and it does end up winning, do I have to come back in person to collect? Or do I mail my winning ticket somewhere? I'm in a state with no gambling so not sure how that would work.

I know you can mail in winning tickets to Vegas sports
books. Not sure bout other states but assuming the same.

Fill out ticket and send in along with self addressed envelope and obviously insure it.Use fed-x or UPS

Regular check...they don't do cashier's check.
No idea if they do direct deposit.

I'm sure you can get clarification when you place your bet.

Any dude who genuinely fears for their safety making a Sugar Bowl trip and walks around New Orleans scared is guilty of a Class 1 Man Card violation and revocation upon the completion of re-growing a pair and once again acting like a man.

Reading this really did remind me that I forgot to pick up toilet paper when I was in town earlier. Coffee filters.
