Solution...have a play in game

Here is my solution to the debate, that will happen every year over the last team in the college football playoffs....have a play in game for it like the ncaa basketball tournament does for the last team in when it's between two teams for the spot.
Playoffs begin in two weeks, could have had Bama and SMU play next week for the final spot. Yes, the final team in would have to play an extra game but that is the price to pay for being the final team in.
Just my opinion.

I'm not saying this as just a Bama fan, but for the playoffs in general. Would add even more to the playoffs.

How about the NCAA make it a rule that Bama gets in EVERY year regardless of your season?

Now bama fans want an extra chance to get in??? WOW!!

Bama fans were saying last night there’s too many teams already. You want to add another until bama can get it right?

You’ve reached the bargaining phase. Depression is next.

Again, I'm saying this as a college football fan in general, not just a Bama fan. Imagine a team that had to win a play in game and eventually won the NT? Not saying that would happen this year but like I said, the NCAA tournament does it.

Bama still trying!

Solution is schedule OSU, Michigan, PSU, Oregon, or ND OOC every year.
If Bama beat PSU instead of Wisconsin this season Bama would be in. If OleMiss had beat them an SEC team would be in that spot.

Just let the teams in that dont have embarrassing losses. 3 losses puts you out unless you win your conference.

Then we argue over who gets in the play-in.
How do you people not see that?
Then you’ll want a play-in for play-in.

Here is my solution to the debate
There's no solution because there is no debate. Your team wasn't going to win it all anyway.
The playoffs should just be conference champions. If you don't win your conference, you don't get in. If you think your conference is too tough, change to an easier one.
The solution to Alabama's problem is easy, don't lose to Vandy.

12 team CFP.... every conference CHAMP gets in and fills the 11 spots. The 12th spot is a lottery draw.
Regardless of records.... you win your conference and you're in.

quote:Its just like I said before. The more teams you let in the more teams that will argue they deserve the last spots. We have 12 spots and like 5 teams arguing for it instead of 2 teams arguing over 1 spot in a 2 team playoff.
Then we argue over who gets in the play-in.
How do you people not see that?
Then you’ll want a play-in for play-in.
The extra spots were to give the smaller schools a shot and not to give the bigger schools do overs after 3 losses.
