I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at Sheridan's game plan of running the ball into the teeth of that defense. It was largely effective and good to see Jam Miller get more carries.

I also liked throwing to the TEs. Auburn clearly wasn't expecting that.

So, props to Sheridan for yesterday.

The turnovers were maddening. Honestly, if Bama hadn't turned the ball over, I think Bama would've hung at least two more TDs on those walking turds.

If we do more TE’s in the gameplan and lessen turnovers we will go a long way in the playoff.

Dropped TD pass was big. boogs would have started to quit there if we cashed that one in.

Cuevas was really good. Why hasn’t he been more involved until yesterday ? He’s a weapon. Really good pass receiver.

He was our 4th leading receiver with 15 catches. Like to see that up around 30.

I kept wondering why he wasn’t more involved until. He’s easily the best pass receiver of the tight end group. Dippre is good but Cuevas has more speed.

Upperclassmen log jam, how the OL has been kept the TEs home blocking a lot too.

Dippre and Ouzts probably are superior in that department, but it's promising that Cuevas worked his way into meaningful playing time.

I agree that the plan is solid. Jam Miller had 28 carries; Justice Haynes had 7 carries. Also, they were mostly running inside zone type plunges with some pin and pull mixed in. Only 2.9 ypc from the tailbacks but I still think it was effective strategically if not tactically. I believe the threat of the tailback run made Milroe's designed runs have great impact.

We need to keep this kind of carry distribution in whatever game(s) we play the rest of this season. The tailbacks ought to have double the carries of the quarterback most games. Would love to see ypc in the mid 3s but a handful of poorly blocked pin and pull runs led to TFLs for Auburn that hurt the overall ypc number for the backs.

I agree with everyone on this post. The gameplan was much, much better than it was the last few weeks. I was pleased to see TE involved early and using RBs to set the tone for the game early on. It took pressure off Milroe and that's exactly what was needed. I liked how the ball was spreaded around and that made offense less predictable. IF we had done same thing against Oklahoma, we win easily.

What I don't like about game plan was calling for RPO with Milroe and Miller/Haynes... Milroe kept making wrong reads. Several times RBs should've got the ball and they had the opportunity to pick up first down.

Yep. He makes the wrong read a lot of the time and it prevents big plays and/or first downs. Very frustrating to watch. Then the turnovers. Ugh.

What drives me crazy is that HE actually know how to read defense and make adjustments at LOS, but on zone defense, he can't read defense well or he's selfish. I don't know.
