But we all agree that some changes need to be made right??
At a minimum, Coley HAS to go. No one in all of college football has as many drops as we do. Something is wrong with these receivers.
I'm torn on Bobo, half the time he looks like a complete dumbass, and the other he looks semi-competent... There must be someone better right??

Honestly this is the most disappointing 10-2 Georgia team since 2019.
I want to criticize bobo (and I do) but we would be talking differently about him if we had maybe 10 drops on the season.
We've had like 35 drops.
We've had drops that would've been touchdowns
We've had drops that would've been first down.
It's horrendous

The issue with Bobo is the the conservative play calling in the first half. Our defense is not good enough to constantly spot points

I think it was Austin Brooks that said if Bobo retires, he believes Faulkner (GT's offensive coordinator that coached at Georgia) would be the coach Kirby brings in.

I know you’ll probably accuse me of being Coley’s family member in disguise, but I don’t see how you watch this season and think anything other than “I’m glad Coley is here now to recruit some better receivers”. He didn’t bring in a single one of these players. He inherited them plus 2 other guys who were supposed to be big contributors and aren’t even on the field for legal reasons. I’ll wholeheartedly agree the drops are maddening but ask any receivers coach. Drops are almost impossible to “coach out” at this level. Kids sure. They’re inexperienced. But receivers at this level have caught tens of thousands of footballs. They know the fundamentals, the focus, etc. (Also, some guys are just natural, some are not but they’re a body type/ athletic fit). Drops are like errors in baseball. The better the players you have the less often they happen. We have a C+ receiver room as is currently constituted. Don’t be so surprised when they play like a D group one game and B group the next. Fluctuation happens. But like I said before. Coley is bringing in the best receiver class we’ve had in several years. I’ll wait to judge him then.

Why in the heck would Faulkner want to come back? Heck he can be an HC if he wants.

First half same as other games. Two bad drops, Carson confidence goes to shite, a fumble and missed fg.
Meanwhile, defense had no answer. Wide open receivers and horrible tackling.
We won. Some how.

Agree with you here. I think people forget just how blessed we've been on offense & at receiver.
-AD Mitchell, 2nd round
-Ladd McConkey, 1st round
-Brock Bowers, 1st round and likely best college TE of all time
-Darnell Washington, 3rd round and super unique prospect
And that's not mentioning our stable of 1st round OL. But these 5* receivers that everyone wants to recruit, we've already had them and the results look like the 2022 GA Bulldogs offense.

In fairness though, the only guy you listed that was supposed to be a big 5 star can’t miss was Darnell. AD and Ladd were 3 and 2 stars IIRC and Brock a lower 4 star. We saw things in them we could develop and we did. Should/ could be even better on aggregate if we start getting the top notch receiver cruits

I saw a stat where we were in the top 5 or 6 of colleges with receivers in the NFL. My bet is when we go back to the thread where we signed a 3 star, not very big white kid from NW Ga at receiver, the coaches were questioned.

We seem to be playing so much more loose zone coverages than in recent years. To me, it’s an indictment of this secondary when CKS and CGS are so reluctant to use man coverage, especially when calling a blitz. For experienced, smart QBs who know where the holes in the zone are, that’s an easy pitch and catch against pressure.
