Why not go for the win?

I will never understand this call. You're unranked playing a top ten team. As a coach if at the beginning of the game you're asked, "one play from the 3 yd line to win, would you take it?" I can't imagine any coach saying no yet we see it time and again. No one would have faulted Tech for trying it and failing.

Hindsight is 20/20 but GT went 1/7 on the 2 pt tries. So he was probably right. Needed his defense not to be a sieve in the first two OTs

Speaking of hindsight, why did Kirby go for 2 after the first touchdown? I just don’t see the difference in 17-7 and 17-8

I’m certain watching tech consistently holding the ball 9 and 10 minutes he figured he needed as many points as possible on every possession. It was, in my opinion, a mistake but I am done second guessing Kirby Smart LOL.
