Auburn seems to have the worst luck in landing Vandy during their best years.

Since 1947, Auburn has only played Vanderbilt 24 times in 78 seasons.

During that 78-season stretch, Vandy has only spent time in the AP poll in 11 seasons and Auburn has somehow caught them in 8 of those 11 years.

We’ve won 15 of the last 18 meetings but we played more frequently in the 1900s - 1940s when Vanderbilt had a solid program.

Was that the final season ranking for vandy those 8 years bc if so they probably wouldn’t have been ranked if auburn had just won
