with all its money cannot not fix the horrific officiating problem in 2024. It is almost as if Stankey and his stooges are laughing at the peasants for complaining about the weather. How is this situation allowed to continue....week after week, and year after year? Where is the accountability?

Do you think you would still have your job if you performed at the level of SEC officiating?

I'm not sure why EVER call isn't reviewable. Thats just BS....If the whole goal of officials is to make the correct call for a fair game, then making some call non-reviewable goes against their existence.

You are confusing things. Not every flag DOES get reviewed, it just CAN be reviewed. The UFL games has this and its fine.

Just thinking out loud...but with all of the camera angles and new developments in AI, I wonder how long it will be until there is a test on having an artificial intelligence program review every play. You could have verifications of certain controversial calls in near real-time.

Folks warned us that the SEC officiating was as rotten and bad as the big12. We've def been the beneficiary of some questionable calls, but also been punished by some horrendous crap. It really is remarkable it's allowed to go on. Sadly I think, with more teams able to get in to the playoff, we're only going to see more egregious shite called to make sure certain teams with better chances/help more teams from the conference get in, get calls, ala Miami earlier this year, etc.

I don't think it ever happens. I know I'm the conspiracy guy here but the evil that runs sports needs that 'wiggle' room in there to sway games. The same way the 12 teams are picked behind closed doors and with no format to follow. They need that "final say' to have the grey area to pull the strings they want. They might not always get their way but often times it sure helps lean things the direction they want.

To start, I’m a Bama guy. More than ever before this sport is driven by money: nil, gambling, viewership, conference realignment. Games are being manipulated and so are these “rankings”. Having bama at 13 is an absolute joke. We should be 22-25 at best. They want asses in seats and they want eyes on TVs. That is the ONLY thing driving all of this. It’s only going to get worse.

This is very well said and explains it perfectly

The reffing in football and basketball is atrocious. I heard the basketball refs aren't technically "SEC" refs but still... they suck. I'm positive they all bet on games they officiate.

That call the other night in the Bama/OK game was abusively insane. IDK if it would have affected the outcome score wise but foosball is a game of momentum and Bama's momentum was robbed by cheatin' refs. I seent it.

No we went to the moon and the Astronauts talked to the president on a land line from the moon. When you can’t even get clear reception out in the country or some rural area. LOL

It’s past time for the SEC to hire and ptfessionally train full time officials for its conference .

I appreciate the work these guys do, … at least, most of them ….but they’re part-time employees

They need to be training full-time, year around, and using proven technology

100% this. Do it like the NFL does, where they are full time employees year round and aren't just roofers moonlighting on the weekends.
