Why are LSU fans acting like Underwood did them dirty?

Have they not seen their team play in recent weeks?
If their football team didn't completely blow, I doubt this happens.
If their fans hadn't loudly been talking about how soon can they fire their coach for a solid month now, I doubt this happens.
But unfortunately for LSU fans, both of those things are just the reality what happened.
I keep seeing LSU fans say something to the effect of, "how could he wait until two weeks before signing day to do this?!?" How delusional and selfish can you be? Get your head out of your arse and open your eyes imo.
This young man is worried about his future. In the past month, there is no bigger dumpster fire in football than LSU. If you talk to any person in the LSU community right now, it's pretty much a sure thing that Brian Kelly will be fired before this kid graduates. But he's not supposed to factor this into the biggest decision of his life so far?
Just a completely unreasonable take from the LSU fanbase. Shame on all of you for putting what you want as a fan above what this young man needs to do to best prepare for his career. You would all do the same if you'd take off the purple and gold glasses.
It's time for some of these LSU fans to grow up. Everybody is tired of their toxic behavior and clearly Bryce Underwood felt no different.

Have you seen Michigan play all season?

Check tiger rant, there's a bunch of "he did us dirty" "frick him and his family' etc

He's from Michigan and Michigan is a much better program historically than LSU and also in a much better position than LSU post-conference realignment now that LSU is middle of the pack in SEC.

I try not to check the board. I'll just take your word for it.

Not in his lifetime.

We won the west two years ago. We had a Heisman winner last year. Our last three head coaches have won a national title. Nick Saban took his bye week before LSU every single year.
I'd say that we will eventually be fine again. After the customary melt of course.

Yeah, before realignment, like i said....
...and now your'e complete dogshit and married to one of the worst coaches in the conference for multiple years.

It's not hard to see which way the wind is blowing for LSU. Bryce Underwood certainly felt it.

2022 - 4 losses
2023 - 3 losses (with Heisman QB)

I dont blame the kid for leaving. But he also did do us dirty by doing the "1000% committed" shite the past weeks. He could have just said he was leaving so we would have time to try and flip a commit elsewhere.
Likely stuck with Nuss if he doesnt enter the draft, and Collins will transfer out. Swann and Hurley dont inspire much confidence. QB room is far from championship worthy. We are going to lose more recruits because of this as well, and will not have time to try and flip replacements.
My anger is directed at CBK for not having a backup plan for this situation. His recruit classes since he became HC here have been pretty good outside of the caliber of QBs... QB 22 in 2024, QB 15 in 2023. We are going to need to hit on transfer QBs the next couple of seasons to have any shot at a title.

You'll also need to find a different coach

I can sympathize with fans feeling hurt and rationalizing it this way, really I can.
But it's kind of like when Saban said he wasn't gonna coach at Alabama. Like, the only reason anybody cares at all about it is because they're hurt by it. When in reality they should have known it's just part of the game and always priced in. What's he supposed to say? He was still the coach of the team and the season wasn't over. We're all adults here, there's no reason to pretend you don't know it's possible he could leave after the season.
Exactly the same thing with this kid. There was a LOT of reporting he was flipping for a big NIL deal. If he didn't say anything, fans would have been nervous! As with Saban, he was damned if he did, damned if he didn't.
Not to mention that the entire structure of the NIL market incentivizes the players farming exposure like this to maximize their brand footprint. Can you begrudge him for acting in his best interest in this environment? Don't hate the playa, hate the game.
I dunno, I really don't think the kid did LSU dirty here. If their season doesn't fall apart, this likely never happens. But it did.

Next season is looking like it might be a golf on saturdays season.
Im on the fire CBK train now, but its not going to happen. School wont pay that buyout, we will be stuck with him for at least 2 more years, maybe even 3. Just frick.
