So who is projected to get in? How does this work with a bunch of 2 loss teams?

Alabama vs winner of Texas/A&M game. Ole Miss ahead of UGA. UGA finishes 4th.

I don't know, but I am good with Bama getting in then getting knocked completely out of the playoffs.

If the committee honors the rules/criteria, Bama won’t be penalized for losing the SECCG. One other SEC team COULD lose their spot though if Bama loses.

With our schedule I would hope we’d be safe if we win out. TN fans should be feeling nervous as they may be on the outside looking in out of the 2 loss club.

I’m not

as much as it pains me to say this, ROLL TIDE!

I mean, I don’t want this to be the year that an old school Big 6 team does not win the SEC

and if it has to happen; I’d hate to see the SEC. champs be from Texas; especially the Longhorns

kind of sucks that Bama is what is standing in the way of Texas winning the SEC in year 1 - their fan base is already insufferable…

Need Auburn and Florida to win next week. And then AnM to beat Texas in the final week. Then we get a rematch with Bama in seccg.

And we claim the title bc we beat them. Never let them hear the end of how we kicked the shite out of them and their weak schedule.

Why on earth would we want to risk playing in the sec championship game? Why give the human political committee another opportunity to frick us over should there be a third loss?

Whoever controls this garbage is going to have to eventually get rid of conference championship games altogether. If someone doesn’t get screwed this year, they will eventually

I agree...I'm happy with not playing in the SECCG and having another week to heal up. We can hopefully rest alot of players against UMass, but if GT beats NC St, they'll be 7-4, and they just took down a high ranked Miami. That might not be a pushover-game. We would probably benefit for having more time to rest and get healthy and get ready for the playoffs. JMHO.

It’s a sad reality that the SEC Championship means even less this year than it did before and it has meant less the last decade or so than it did when it was a game and when it wasn’t a game. Our goals used to be beat our rivals and win a SEC Championship. Now it seems more focused on the natty and less on the other 2.

There used to be a time when beating UF, Auburn, and Tech was a dream season.

I said almost those exact words to my crew the other night...

"I remember when if we beat UF, Auburn and GT to close the season out, it was a great year no matter what bowl we were playing in."

I have no issue missing the SEC championship. Our schedule this year has been brutal. We have 2 games left which we must win and both teams are beatable. If the team that beat Texas and Tennessee show up for thr playoffs, who knows how far we can go. I am not convinced we have solved our issues though.
