After starting out the game with two 3 and outs and only getting one first down in the first three drives.

UGA went:

7 plays for 75 yards and a TD

10 plays for 84 yards and a TD

11 plays for 54 yards and a field goal

12 plays for 87 yards and a TD

Punt

12 plays for 92 yards and a TD

END GAME

Those are all big boy drives against a pretty good statistical defense. Great for the boys confidence going forward.

So who are we firing and benching this week and who are we no longer firing and benching this week?

I want to learn.

It's a good chicken or egg question. Did Bobo call a better game or did the offense and Carson execute better?

The oline not being swiss cheese helped them both for sure.

No turnovers either. At least we know what we are capable of now.

No question.
It was our best whole team effort since the Clemson game.
Bobo called his best game of the season including some key innovative plays.
Beck had his best game of the season passing and running.
He went: 25/40 62.5% 347 yards 2 TD No INTs for QBr rating 116.4 and 32 rushing.
Beck seemed to have taken a little velocity off most of the longer passes with more arc which made them more accurate and easier for the receivers to adjust to and catch.
The OL played great giving Beck time to throw.
The running game was just enough to keep the Vol defense guessing.
Frazier led the way with 68 yards 3.6 yd avg.
Our receivers once again dropped some passes but the TEs came through big time in this game.
Delp had 5 receptions for 56 yards and 2 TDs.

Tennessee has a darn good running game and Nico connected on some key passes in the first half. Frankly, I was worried about our defense being worn out in the 2nd half.
But our defense shut down Tennessee in the 2nd half.
Shumman made some great calls for blitzes leading to sacks and clearly made 2nd half adjustments that shut down one of the best offenses in the SEC.
It was a wonderful win against a team that had gotten too big for their britches. And I am gratified that we put those arrogant fan(s) in their place on the SEC Rant.
Gooooooo Dawgs!!

We still need to fire a motherfricker. I don’t know who, just know that someone needs to go.

I think this is the main reason behind the success last night. Pass blocking was absolutely phenomenal.

Switches don't flip in college football. It may look that way to us casual observers, but with teams of 85 players and large organizations behind them, positive change is gradual. Fans are good at noticing a change when it becomes obvious but, as message boards repeatedly prove, practically none have a good understanding of why changes happen, or why teams look good one week and bad the next.

We don't know about the nagging injuries, or the guys playing with a fever of 103. We don't notice every time an inexperienced receiver runs the wrong route, or stadium noise causes confusion at the LOS. We don't account for the grind of playing a tough schedule, or the fact that the other team has been letting their starters rest and heal up against a cupcake schedule. We never account for the fact that attrition at a position leads to fatigue among the guys who are still available. We seldom acknowledge that talented but inexperienced players usually need time before they make a positive contribution.

Tennessee fans were cocky, and I'm guessing their players were pretty cocky too. Some who claim to be Georgia fans were cocky too; they insisted we'd lose because Tennessee was a better team with a better defense and a better offense. They apparently didn't realize that Tennessee's opponents paled in comparison to the schedule Georgia has played. They looked at a stat sheet and didn't realize that Georgia's quarterback is currently much better than theirs, and is capable of carrying a team to victory if he gets enough help from his teammates. Now they know, but they still don't understand why.

I really think that run for first down by Beck, helped him a lot.

He needs to do it more often. I don't know why he hasn't. Fear of getting hurt? Maybe, he has been playing scared?

Running is a tool Beck should feel free to utilize more. It really did loan him up last game.

This team never had game breakers on offense. Success was always going to depend on Beck being elite.

Q2-Q4 was his best stretch of play this season, and we see what the offense can look like when he meets the standard he set last season.

I hope this injects some confidence in him and in the offense. If it does, werenin amazing shape
