When do players enter the portal and when can they start receiving offers?

The 2024–2025 college football transfer portal dates are:
Winter: Monday, December 9, 2024–Saturday, December 28, 2024
Spring: Wednesday, April 16, 2025–Friday, April 25, 2025
Players can enter at any time. But think about that...if they enter they are out of playing/practicing, etc...until they transfer so probably near end of season depending upon the person...

What if he is not in the portal. Would this be tampering? I also found out that if you are a graduate you can enter at any time.

Yes. That is tampering, but I know a few players have sent feelers out to Auburn a few as early as late September.
