UGA fans are very worried about the Tennessee game

Found this on a Volnation thread which takes qoutes before each game from the opposing team's message boards:
quote:
- Something is off with this team. It feeds off its leader, the QB. Beck isn’t a leader in any form and has never displayed emotion other than laughing at Rashada trying to help him. The team looks it just doesn’t care. Maybe NIL is partly to blame, maybe coaches - but even when we had bad coaches they fought. This goes deeper. And I’m starting to wonder if Beck is a cancer in the locker room.
-Tennessee will beat us by double digits if this o-line doesn’t drastically improve by Saturday.
-I’ve personally heard that Bobo and Beck have beef with one another and this is why we suck.
-This feels a lot like 2008, started out #1 and started out with Mel Kipers #1 QB. We’ll beat UMass but I’m not real sure about surviving Tennessee and GA Tech.
-It makes you wonder ....is their pressure to keep Beck the starter BECAUSE of NIL?
-Tennessee’s d-line is going to clown us. Vols big.
-I only have hope because Tennessee doesn’t have a good passing offense. Plus at home finally.
-We should rebound and win this game, if we don’t, Kirby has got some real explaining to do.
-At home in a Must WIN situation with Kirby personally handling the leadership/motivation. It’s a playoff game, so do or die.
-It does not matter whether Nico plays or not. We made the OM back-up QB look like Pat Mahomes. Like he was playing 11 on 3…
-If we don’t win , Kirby will just credit TN and say what a great team they have like the robot he is sometimes.
-I’m not real sure how we’re going to be able to block their d-line, they’re pretty much a carbon copy of Ole Miss.
-This will truly be a line of scrimmage game, Tenn likes to run the ball and then has a very solid defense. Anytime you haven't given up more than 19 in a single game this season, your D is pretty good regardless of schedule. After getting 10 against probably the best DL we have faced all season, a lot of media are going to pick the Vols because their front is very good as well. We need to find our top 5 OL and stick with them, the rotating chairs at OL?? Just pick the top 5. If someone gets hurt, then you swap them out. Hopefully home field will pay off, it has been so long since our guys have played a home game.
-My heart say we beat the Vols. My mind says that Tennessee’s defense wreaks havoc and Nico looks like a Heisman candidate.
-I felt pretty good about this game after the Texas win. I felt like we really turned a corner, but then yesterday happened. Tennessee has a really well coached defense and they don’t have to be elite on offense to win. I’m worried more than ever about this matchup. I hope my worries is just something I ate.
-We’ve dominated this series over the past years, but we don’t have that kind of team this. Buckle up and expect an old fashioned Jefferson Pilot Sports SEC War on Saturday.
-I think Kirby has made a mistake of going for recruiting first coaches rather than development coaches and it’s finally catching up.
-I believe we’re experiencing a bit of a downfall because we don’t spend as much as other programs.
-This isn’t going be the type of game it was in 2022, Tennessee is going to come in here locked in and it’s going to be a knock down drag out that will have you in a frenzy.
-You cannot deny how good of a defense that Tennessee has. They have not allowed more than 20 points in a game all year, that worries me.
-We better pick a game plan and stick to it because if we don’t, Rocky Flop is gonna embarrass us in Sanford.
-We aren’t winning anymore big games with Bobo calling plays. Make other plans now.
-Tennessee really hasn’t excelled in the offensive department but they haven’t had to. We’re going to have to hit big gash plays to have a shot. I just don’t know if Beck has it in him.

Wouldn't you be?

You have homefield advantage and Tennessee 's RB is good for one fumble a game.

I’m worried about ANY teams D-Line right now. We have issues.

We need him to fumble at least 3 times

How come Georgia was able to beat Texas?

The biggest thing is their oline will false start and hold like crazy especially on the road.
If Tennessee could fix that issue alone and get rid of the fumbles, they'd be a damn tough team to beat.
They wear folks down and then beat on them with Sampson in the late third and fourth quarters like a sledgehammer. My kind of football. They just need to tie up a few loose ends.

From what I've seen lately, Beck will give the ball right back.

Texas had to pass and QE shite the bed. QE shite the bed before we had to pass.
Georgia offense was ok. Georgia defense controlled the game.
Kirby outcoached Sark. Never thought I’d say that.

In the grand scheme of things, I don’t see Georgia able to win a championship with this team. Losing to Tennessee next week wouldn’t be the end of the world. Obviously you want to make the playoffs, etc but I sincerely doubt this team just all of the sudden starts; blocking well, having a QB who isn’t a total dipshit, Having an OC stop running a dozen screens all game and never calling a downfield pass play, having a secondary that can cover, etc.
This Georgia team is not great. They showed up one week on one side of the ball against Texas. The offense looked like it looked all year against Texas, anemic. So I think any rational Georgia fan could say that making the playoffs is obviously the goal but we’re pretty deep in the season, I don’t think their glaring issues just go away.

I found some very interesting common opponents stats on this game as well in which Vols clearly have the edge:
UGA vs Ms State @ Athens won 41-31
Vols vs Ms State @ Knox won 33-14. Nico didn’t play in the second half.
UGA vs gators neutral sight won 34-20
Vols vs gators @knox won 23-17
UGA vs Bama @ Tuscaloosa lost 41-34
Vols vs Bama @ Knox won 24-17
UGA vs Kentucky @ Lex won 13-12
Vols vs Kentucky @ Knox won 28-18

This really doesn’t mean much. Games aren’t played in a vacuum. You could run the exact same metrics last year for Bama vs Georgia common opponents and do the same thing in 2021. Georgia beat their common opponents much more handedly. Bama won both games against Georgia despite it.

True, it's just shocking at how much the gap has been closed between the two teams since this time a year ago. On paper the advantage besides it being in Athens goes to the Vols.

Absolutely. A big factor is good teams get better as the season progresses. Georgia seems to have never found a rhythm in a single game this year on both sides of the ball. And they look to be playing their worst ball of the year in the final weeks of the season. That was a lifeless performance given in Oxford.

Driving rain storm on the road in a crazy atmosphere.
There practice this week will be hell.
Even with our problems, Tennessee is fricked.

Nah, I think Georgia just overlooked Ole Miss. They'll give full attention to Tennessee though I do hope they get loss #3 and get eliminated.

I’m not reading all that. UGA should be worried

That's really interesting. After a humiliating loss Georgia fans are worried about the next game vs. a top ten team.
I wish we were like other fanbases on their own message boards.
You know, the ones where everyone is happy and celebrating a humiliating loss.

And I’m worried about our offense on the road at night. Our 1st half woes on offense could really let things get out of hand
