I'm not necessarily disappointed in Bobo the offensive coordinator. One of the AJC goobers made a good point this afternoon that there was bound to be a downgrade at OC after Monken left, whoever it was. The Ravens are averaging the second most points of any NFL team in the last 5 years.

Right now I'm pissed at Bobo the Quarterback Coach. When a quarterback regresses like Beck, a lot of it's on the quarterback coach in my opinion. Any team's quarterback coach is also the team's quarterback whisperer and de facto quarterback psychiatrist. When someone like Beck turns into a head case, there has to be some personal responsibility with Beck. But a lot of the responsibility also falls back on the quarterback coach.

I just hope that Kirby brings in someone new in the off-season to come in and work with the quarterbacks, even if he's not necessarily a position coach and just an analyst.

With the no limit to guys at practice coaching Monty Van Gorder has taken on more of the QB coach role with oversite from Bobo. Mike may need to take a more hands on approach. Monty is in Carson’s hip pocket every time he comes off the field and is the go between for him and Bobo.

Wonder how much the in game comms has affected Carson. What if Bobo is just spouting off shite to him pre-snap that muddies the picture in Carson's head? I'm sure Carson would say something if that was the case. Pre diagnosing the matchup to hunt is supposed to be his strength according to those that know.

That's solid intel. So Van Gorder is the new Buster Faulkner except way more bootlegged and in over his head, apparently.

That could be a possibility, I have talked to guys in the past when they got to camp in the NFL that took some getting used to, some guys said it didn’t bother them but 4 of the 6 that I have coached with that got even a camp look at QB in the NFL said it was a major adjustment.

Monty is a smart guy but I was highly impressed with Buster, his last spring at Georgia I stayed with his group for chalk talk at the clinic and even got to talk with him about some quick game and bootleg concepts one on one because I knew my OL going into the next season would be weaker. I have no doubt if Mike walked in and told Kirby he wanted to step back like Muschamp, Buster would be the next OC at Georgia.

This is a solid take.

What's different from last year, all other things being equal?

1. Lose Bowers and Ladd
2. Running back room devastated
3. Helmet comms

There are problems with the design of our offense. It seems like it could and should be a lot better.

Or maybe there are problems with the QB and WRs. The offense is fine.

I think Bobo is actually making chicken salad out of chicken shite.

Let's look at what he is working with.

Depleted running back room
Head case QB who is making bad decisions
Lack of explosive receivers
Wr who can't catch the ball even when it does hit them in the hands.
Hurt O Lineman

The fact that we are still 7-1 is in part to Bobo and Etienne

I was one of those, but with Carson looking suspect, I'm ok with this strategy

Bobo is too conservative on 3rd and 18. Bobo is useless and his offense is useless.

I think he’s going to be named the head coach for my Alma mater The University of Southern Mississippi! Just wishing but they are holding a press conference Monday on who it’s going to be. I know he interviewed
