Aggie got reminded last night how hard it is to go on the road and win a big SEC game at night when the home team is cooking.

20 is the guy that injured Bennett with the head tackle and slap?

That was a textbook hangover game for Aggie. South Carolina though could have beaten the best out there last night. Sanders is a freak.

Offensive targeting. He lead with his helmet, launched upward, and made forceable contact to the head and neck area of the defender.
If that DB did that exact same motion to Sellers he’d have been thrown under the jail.
All that said, targeting is stupid and it shouldn’t be called. What sellers did was play football and I lived every millisecond of it.

eta - Beamer said post-game Mazeo was in the locker room with teammates celebrating - officially left game with 'upper body injury' - was fearful is was his leg/hip/knee as he was awkwardly bent back -
the face mask slap after the helmet tackle was interesting -
eta - nope it was indeed 20 that Sellers trucked - who tackled Bennett twisting the top of the helmet -

The only thing I'll add is this. The DB isn't defenseless at that point, which is one of the requirements for targeting.

Aggie waking up this AM...

In that one play, Sellers let the stadium know he wasn't going to lose.
It was palpable.

Defender was not defenseless, and the runner did not lead with the crown of his helmet.
Not remotely targeting if roles reversed.

As I said in the game thread last night (and tried to point out during the week), there's a difference between a 240 lb QB that can run and a 190 lb QB that can run....

It was one of the most beautiful finishes to a run I have ever had the privilege of observing.

On a serious note, I didn't post this last week when everyone was gushing about how well Reed did with the zone read vs LSU the previous week. In 2010, Steve Spurrier hired OC Shawn Elliott from App State as the Offensive line coach after App state beat #5 Michigan. He did that because of Elliott's offensive playbook. What could Elliott give to one of the most prolific offensive minds the game has ever seen? You guessed it, the zone read.
I'm sure that Elliott was highly involved in the defensive game plan this past week discussing on how you defeat the ZR on defense. One way is with very fast DE's (a strength for SC). This past week Aggies were acting like the ZR was some new magical scheme. It's not. It's almost 20 years old now and, honestly, has been surpassed by R.P.O's as they give teams three options every play vs the ZR's two.

I think he had a neck injury. His head snapped twice
