Gonzaga is a much better team than us, at this point in time. Honestly they might be better than anyone right now. We can easily lose to Baylor.

I want to see our perimeter defense improve, and I think it will.
Holy crap Thiero is a freak athlete... shades of Mike Qualls. Really like Knox and Richmond too... they just need little time to acclimate.
I think we have 3 elite guards in Boogie, DJ, and Nelly.
Team is not flawless but they are fun to watch and seem to play hard in stretches. Need to turn that into 40 minutes and they could be elite.

Jeremy Roach (played for Duke when they beat us in the elite 8)

Totally agree. Was there last night and the potential is there be special. Not saying “title team” or anything, but they are fun to watch and barely scratching the surface of what they could do if they progress more in an upward trend. Lipscomb’s guys all looked to be about 30 years old and more into CrossFit than bball. Lot of bs calls that kept the score closer than the game was.

Defense turned the momentum when needed. The press was well timed. We saw what happens when shots aren't falling against a less talented but more experienced and conditioned team with a scheme. It will be telling to see how our guys respond to a more athletic challenge. It will be even more nicer if Baylor is the team that feels challenged.
