We need Tenner to beat UGA

I don’t like it anymore than you men. However, I foresee a logjam of 10-2 teams at years end. We need to be compared to UGA (we beat) instead of UT (beat us). It’s not a given that 10-2 gets you in as most concluded this preseason. Let’s do our part and beat the tigahs!

I can not pull for Tennessee. In anything. I think they lose to Vandy anyways.

Nope. Not gonna do it. I'm not convinced a Tennessee win benefits us anyway. If Bama wins out they're in the playoff.
If UGA wins they'll likely play Texas in the SECCG. Then you have both of them in. Then if Bama and UT both win out they're both in. The SEC is going to get 4 teams in if you have a 12-1 Texas/11-2 UGA or 11-2 Texas/12-1 UGA and then 2 10-2 teams in UT and Bama that are both in.

Actually best case scenario is UT loses twice. Get them gone. UGA to win everything, then our win is huge.

Maybe but it’s not a guarantee
6 of the teams are conference champs. ND is most likely winning out and in. The loser of the SECG is probably in. That leaves 4 more spots. I don’t think it’s a certainty that 2 of the 4 teams will be SEC while the Big 10 and ACC will have a combined 2 additional teams in the playoff
Again not saying you will be wrong but it would help a lot to have at least some upsets here and there for other teams. Doesn’t have to be Tennessee

We do need TAMU to lose at some point.
We have some ground to make up, but beating the #16 team on the road would help a lot. Then just win the next 3 and we're in good shape.

The longer this season goes the more our Tennessee loss looks like the worst of the two.

I’m not talking about a three loss situation for either of the three. If Bama and UGA are 10-2, UT being 11-1 helps us bc of the UGA head to head. As far as overall playoffs, there’s no guarantees bc there could be multiple 1 loss teams and ND as mentioned by someone else. BYU and Indiana could pose issues as well.

Right now our win vs Ga is the best win to date. How does ut beating them, which lessens the significance of our win, help us? Ut beat us, ut and Ga would go over us. We lost to Vandy...that's gonna be hard to overcome with ut ranked above us. Even if Ga lost they'd still be ranked above us.
