Gonna be loud in Baton Rouge. I saw Lane was appalled LSU got two night games. He was upset he got two 11 AMs.

The frustration is that of our 4 SEC home games, 2 were chosen as 11 before the season started. (UK and OU) Egg Bowl is 2:30 on Black Friday and UGA was our only flex game. It is at 2:30.
The muh "ratings" thing isn't completely accurate. We do well at 11 but never get to play big games at night. So Disney has no idea what our numbers are at night because we never get to play in that slot.
Lane is just fighting for his fans that are going through an SEC season without at home night game which is complete bullshite.
Also night games are for the best matchup of the week or to hide the worst matchups of the week. Since we are in that "good not great" and have what ESPN thinks is the 3rd best game of the week before the season starts, we get stuck at 11 more times than not. 11:00 games are set before the season. That is also bullshite.

No, UGA embarrassed them last year at night in Athens. He wanted that same atmosphere in Oxford at night. We have all seen how hard it is to win in the SEC on the road this year, especially at night.

Lane wanted the night slot for the Georgia game. That’s a good game, but Bama vs LSU at night in Death Valley will draw numbers. That’s the one I’m watching.

He is more frustrated the UK and OU games were set at 11 before the season started. Either one of those being on ESPN2 or SECN at 6:45 and he isn't complaining. It isn't necessarily this week that is the problem. It is a whole season issue.

Something about the night. It has been BD West for the past decade except for 2 years ago and I LOVE the electric atmosphere... but at this point, TV is fine.
EDIT: I expect this game (for better or worse) will be DeBoer's real initiation to the SEC.

Ohhh.. trust me. Have been to Tiger stadium. Won’t take wife. Waaaay too many drunk retards. Yes, have been hit with plenty of drinks and ice. Really interesting that it doesn’t matter if you have a 7 or 8 year old in tow that the cussing and bullshite doesn’t slow down at all.
Pretty vile at times. I chalk it up to an unusually high percentage of people that just hate their own lives.

Bama LSU games draw huge rating numbers. It alway does. ABC wants that in the premier time slot. Plus it's an elimination game.

It's pretty simple: if Ole Miss had beaten Kentucky and LSU, then Ole Miss/UGA would have been the prime-time game next weekend. But you didn't, so it's not.

I guarantee ESPN/ABC has a pretty good idea of which teams will draw the biggest ratings at the most valuable timeslots. It is literally their business to know that and they have tons of data to predict it. Saying they don't know OM's true ratings value because they never get prime time game slots is like me saying the Cowboys don't know how good I can be because they never give me a chance to join the team.
Welcome to reality. Ole Miss might go to the same school as the popular kids, but they are never getting invited to sit at the cool kids table. Why cry about it? It just reminds everyone, including recruits, of your status. Most recruits had no idea they never get to play home night games if they go to OM until Kiffin just told them.
And by the way, this whole discussion is why Kiffin WILL take the Florida job. He craves the spotlight and matching the salary offer won't matter. His ego is too big to reject the spotlight UF can give him.
