Looking for some last minute recommendations from Missouri fans about what to do once my family and I arrive in town for the game tomorrow.
I'm pack up the family at about 7 tomorrow morning and heading for Kansas City on I-65 out of the Birmingham area.
We are excited to be going to our first Alabama game and the kids are lamped up. Looking for help on where to maybe get a bite to eat before the game and a good, cheap motel to stay in after the game.
Planning on watching the game and then and we will probably all be so tired then and just want to go straight to the motel.
What's good to do the next day that is cheap for a family of 5 on a budget? Maybe some kind of parks or museums or something good for kids?

If a baseball fan Negro Leagues museum did a must visit
If a history fan
Liberty Memorial is hands down the best WW I Musuem in the Western Hemisphere
Food for que you get lots of opinions but Q39 is on everyone’s list

Thanks for all the kind suggestions.
Unfortunately, both the wife, the kids, and I are white so I don't think it would be a good idea to go to a negro museum.
Is the Liberty Museum free?
And for the food, I looked up Q39 on the Internet and it's a restaurant. Was thinking more of a grocery store situation to buy some food to keep the costs down.

We're leaving at 7 so, will probably have plenty of time. I like football okay but not a huge fan. I was given the tickets by a family member of a woman at work whose husband died and their family isn't going to any more games.
I'm looking forward more to the stuff to do after the game the whole next day. We aren't leaving 'till Sunday afternoon.
Is that famous arc monument something fun for a family?

Are you a Nascar driver? It is 9 hours from Bham to CoMo on I-65.

Game starts at 2:30 but it's Eastern Time I think so we will still have time to make it if we leave at 7. My wife is sleeping and she is going to drive the first few hundred miles while I get some sleep.
