- Arkansas and Kansas have met on 14 previous occasions with the Jayhawks owning an 8-6 advantage. The Razorbacks have won the last two meetings, including a 72-71 victory in the 2023 NCAA Tournament to advance to the Sweet 16 and a 65-64 decision in the 2005 Maui Invitational. The last time Kansas came to Fayetteville was Dec. 6, 1986, when the Hogs defeated the sixth-ranked Jayhawks, 103-86.

- Arkansas is 73-10 all-time in exhibition games, including a 64-9 mark at home. The Razorbacks have won 37 straight home exhibition contests.

- The last time the Razorbacks and Jayhawks met, Arkansas earned a trip to the 2023 Sweet 16 with a 72-71 win over top-seeded Kansas at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Devo Davis was spectacular in the second half and Ricky Council IV was clutch down the stretch. Davis poured 21 second-half points, to help erase a 12-point deficit. After Davis fouled out late, Council sealed the victory by scoring 11 of the Hogs’ final 15 points, including the final five from the line. A Jordan Walsh 3-pointer with just under nine minutes remaining capped an 11-0 run and put Arkansas in front for the first time since scoring the game’s first points. The run set up a back-and-forth final stretch.

5+players out and coaches have discussed making this a situational practice/Game.

Kansas I’m sure has been ramping up all summer for the chance to take down perennial power Arkansas.

- The last time Coach Cal face Kansas was last November when then #17 Kentucky and then #1 Kansas met in the Champions Classic in Chicago. Kansas won, 89-84. Hunter Dickinson had 27 points and 21 rebounds while Dajuan Harris Jr. added 23 points. Two current Razorbacks played for Kentucky in that game. Adou Thiero had a double-doubel (16 pts – 13 reb) and D.J. Wagner had 4 pts – 2 reb.

- Coach Calipari is 5-9 versus Kansas all-time, 11 of the games came while at Kentucky and he had a 5-6 record. Five of the 11 meetings at UK were in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge with Kansas going 3-2 in those games.

- John Schriffen, Seth Greenberg, Jimmy Dykes

I seriously doubt either program cares about this as a win considering its an exhibition game. Youn learn more about your team in these games vs. Winning by 50+ against a d2 or d3 school.

Yeah, these are great for working out early roster rotations, figuring out which guys off the bench are willing to give you solid minutes on defense, etc.

Love it.

Also, I saw no explicit rules, so
