Lost in everything from the weekend is that because both Dan and Aguero had targeting calls against themselves in the second half against Texas, they'll be out the first half against Florida.

The staff will have some time to figure out how they want to account for that, but it still doesn't make me feel great. I didn't watch UF/UK but it looked like Lagway had some reasonable numbers on the box score.

What adjustments, if any, do you guys think we'll make?

The SEC should man up and cancel those calls. They were both highly questionable by a highly questionable officiating crew.

Dans was textbook targeting unfortunately.

I thought Agueros was more 50/50

But to the point of the OP, it sucks cause it makes playing Malaki at Star impossible. So we will be trotting out our third string Star for a half.

Depending on down and personnel it would be Jacorey Thomas for more coverage/third down stuff and freshman Chris Cole on the early downs or with two tight ends.

Chris Cole is going to be really good. Sucks that Florida has two weeks to plan for this weakness though. That game is going to be tough man.

It looked like Aguero was trying to get his head to the side of the player on his hit. I thought his hit was almost textbook

Just do some jersey swapping, SEC refs are too stupid to know.

I thought JaCorey Thomas looked really good in the limited time he got. Almost came down with a pick. Will be really good for his development to get a start and some quality playing time in the first half. I think it will pay dividends in the long run.

Kirby is 10-0 since '21 when given 7 days or more to prepare with 7 of those victories by 22 points or more.

UF and Sunbelt Billy aren't a concern.

Lagaway is a mobile and can hit deep ball. Kirkland brand Milroe. This would make their whole year. It will be a tight game I think.

No, you put Cash Jones in the jersey first, Jackson's number, refs will inquire, say this is Cash Jones. We utilizing him today on defense, but will swap jerseys when we go on offense, because of the jersey rules and numbers and shite.

Then, when they least expect it, we swap Cash and Dan.

Bama followed a bye week this year. That being said I’m guessing there will be plenty of ways to use different defensive looks to confuse Lagway and help the secondary out a little bit for the first half.

I’m still in somewhat shock at how dominant our defense was. If we can sustain that type of intensity on the D-Line, you can put whoever you want on the back end, it won’t much matter. It’s tough for opposing QB’s to throw when they’re lying on the ground.

Re-watching the game, Aguero was on fire at the end of the first half. Go back and check him out on those 2 possessions that Manning was in the game.

Bolden probably should've been suspended for the first half of the next game too. Maybe the replay booth felt sorry for us.

Aguero did not target.

I was OK with the targeting call on Jackson.

SEC officiating is actually getting worse in my opinion, now that Bama may not control their own destiny.

Maybe if the fans throw trash, the targeting call will get overturned
