Field. To say that critiquing officials and their employer is catamount to hurling half empty beer cans on the field is feckless.
I hope he was just drunk when he wrote his release.
His statement:
“It is my privilege and duty to serve the University of Georgia and part of that responsibility is to stand up for my coaches, student-athletes, staff, and all of Dawg Nation,” Brooks said. “As proud as I am of the resolve our team had, I am also equally disappointed and frustrated in some of the circumstances of our game Saturday night. I don’t find it productive to publicly demean or embarrass officials or the conference office via social media. That would be no better than the physical action of throwing objects on the field.”
“However, I will challenge the conference office on what happened and how it happened in the manner it did. Thankfully this did not cost our young men a hard fought win. Disagreeing with a singular call is natural and will happen several times in every football game. I can accept that. What I cannot accept is the manner in which this specific call was reversed. The official claimed he erred in the call. My question is when did he realize the error? If it was before the delay that occurred due to fans throwing objects on the field, what stopped him before the head official made the announcement and spotted the ball? I have faith we, as a conference, will learn from this and get better. We must, because in the SEC it just means more.

Whatever he said it was unnecessary.

I was actually expecting worse.

The letter I would’ve written to the conference if I were AD:
That was horseshite and you know it. Go dawgs and frick you.

Sec says they can change calls. Problem was they initially huddled and made the official call.
Reset the chains and our guys were ready for play.
The sec literally rewarded atrocious fan behavior with a review of an non reviewable call.
They have massacred the fallout which will lead to more trouble down the road.

Hell on the targeting call against Aguero another play had already been run.

That tells me they were going out of their way to screw our players and any coaching wanting targeting calls is a Pansy unless it was clearly headhunting.
The league should reinstate Jackson and Aguero as an olive branch for the dumpster fire they tried to pull on UGA.

Gonna be honest. I read this a few times and I just don't see a problem. It sounds like he's just covering his arse on not "directly" criticizing the officials but still is.
What am I missing?

Arguing with fans right to free speech and the ability to critize how and where they see fit.
Comparing them to the slobs who thru shite on the field is deplorable.

Oh, I see what you're referring to now. I still think he's just covering his arse. Think he's just trying to say what he wants to without getting fined.

They had to have had the conference before they made the public call and moved the chains and set play. I don’t believe I have seen something reversed on the field after they publicly made the call barring times when they call it on the wrong person or team and quickly correct the detail.
