Kentucky already has lost to Vandy and South Carolina at home

Traditionally this has been grounds for firing the coach at Kentucky.
Mark Stoops and Shane Beamer are just about the same person right now. Both pull rabbits out of their butts every once in a while to temporarily appease their fan bases, and the media and announcers love both of them and say "Boy! Coach Beamer/Coach Stoops have really got this program going in the right direction."
But at the same time, both of them should probably be fired at the end of the year.

Mark Stoops has been tricking people into thinking he's some really good coach for years. If his last name was Smith no one would give him the credit he gets.
This is his 12th year there. Kentucky has finished in the Top 25 in 2 of those seasons.
I don't care if you're at Kentucky. If you're going to be considered a really good coach in the SEC you'll finish inside the Top 25 a little more than 17% of the time.

Eh, he has more 10 win seasons than anyone else in Kentucky Football's history at this point. And has eight consecutive bowl appearances.
I don't have an issue with saying it's time to move on at this point and that he likely can't get us over the hump. But acting like he did absolutely nothing at Kentucky to elevate the program from where it was when he inherited it is silly revisionist history.

I'm not saying you guys dump him at all. What I mean is that every time a job opens his name is mentioned like he's one of the top coaches around. He's just not. When Florida comes open I can assure you his name will be mentioned. I just don't get it

He's a solid coach. UK fans are delusional thinking they can get someone better.

Disagree.
Think the program at this point is in a good enough spot to pull someone that can get us over the hump. Also think Sumrall would be fantastic at Kentucky.

As an LSU fan I respect what Mark Stoops has done.Look at their history
and you see a program that is very limited as far as recruiting goes.MS
has been as consistent as any coach that has been there. The man has
won 9-10 games a year at a Basketball school. He is kind of boring but
thats what Kentucky needs as a HC. Solid hardworking and completive year
in and year out.

Sounds like you're wavering a bit on this...
Here's my outsider's opinion. I'm old enough to remember LSU playing Kentucky annually in the 80's, in a game LSU seemingly was always expected to win, home or away. I remember y'all occasionally going through phases with good QBs like Couch, but then inevitably sink back down instead of staying afloat.
Y'all haven't sunk down again with Stoops. You might say you have this year, but I'd say this is an expected down year, and you've still been able to beat Ole Miss and scare the frick out of UGA, instead of being a patsy vs everyone. If I were the AD or boosters, I'd be damn careful with Stoops. It's going to be very hard to find a guy who's better, who also is going to stay at UK.

You're not going to consistently beat UGA, Alabama, Texas, and LSU. Yeah, there are suprising wins here and there, but that's it. Kentucky doesn't produce as much HS talent as those states do. Did I mention Florida? Those schools put an emphasis on its football program by building facilities, etc. Ask the average sports fan, the word "Kentucky " and can assure you, the first thing that comes to mind is basketball. Stoops has gotten to 8 straight bowl games with lesser talent. They'd be dumb to fire him.

Football now has an exclusive indoor facility (renovated Nutter and T&F has their own indoor facility now). And Commonwealth/Kroger Field just added another $7 million in lighting/ribbon board renovations to the massive $126 million dollar overhaul a few years ago.
All your comment tells me is that you haven’t been to Lexington for a football game in awhile.

You're not getting top HS talent without facilities. Just ask Shawn Alexander. Kentucky bred that went to Alabama.

Shawn Alexander was 25 years ago.

I actually went in 2021. Nothing special, except Lexington is the hood at night. Despite the fact LSU got beat, it was bland, and Vanderbilt with more seats.

We don't have lockers to turn into beds but our facilities aren't the bottom of the SEC anymore

It's not a college game experience IMO. Limited tailgating, and not a vibe at all. I've been to ALOT of SEC venues, and UK ain't that impressive.
