which teams oline can pass block and defensive backs can cover and make plays. Look for air raid from both teams, don't think Dawgs will even try to run much, just enough for play action. Texas will try to run a little more, maybe. Bottom line both teams, will score a bunch, and would not be surprised to see a score like 33-31. Can't play this game in a phone booth, Texas is too strong. Dawgs can win this game, but obviously will take best effort of year and error free game. JMHO

Unless we magically show up and play a complete game and Beck pops off and our DBS somehow learn to play over the next few weeks , we may be heading for a arse whooping

The winning team will have:
1. fewer turnovers
2. more first downs

Beck will need the best performance of his career in a smart balanced offense aka we need to run out of formations in which they expect us to pass and pass when they expect us to run.
Our offense needs to control the time of possession to keep our suspect defense off the field.

We will need a very innovative offense to win.
Texas will look at our MSU film and expect a lot of quick flairs out into the flats. Beck should intentionally stare down our receivers on those plays, pump fake to the receiver, meanwhile the receiver breaks deeper behind the oncoming receiver.
Do something like this for every tendency.

Cannot win a shootout with Texas IMO.Gotta keep their offense off the field with sustained drives, play mistake free and get much better in the red zone.

He did that to the transfer TE for a big gain

Definitely need a better defensive scheme than against Bama, I don’t see Ewers running against this UGA team!
It’s definitely gonna come down to the lines of scrimmage and I don’t see UGA winning. They are going to try and show completely different looks and packages to Carson, will he be able to read, and react? The UGA DB’s have to play out of their minds to stop the Texas passing attack!

Haha!

CFB is very up and down this year! I’m naturally a glass half empty person and it shows in my post! This Texas team has looked really good almost all year, this UGA team has looked anemic and out of sorts. I’m hoping for the Dawgs to show up and show out, I just don’t know if they can?

I agree 100% and then the TOP will favor the dawgs and keep UTx off the field (hopefully)

Honestly, this works only if Bobo chooses to pound Frazier and let ETN break out

If we play a complete game, we win. We just have not proved we can do that

I'm not as down on our offense as many..our offense is and always has been perfectly capable enough of winning againast anyone we play.

My concerns wiht the defense are growing by the week though. Our DL is wholly mediocre and none of our corners seem to be taking that next step. Malaki was a preseason all american and as a Junior should have bene at the forefront of every awards watch list but he's been mostly quiet this year. Him and Aguero both have bene missing tackles left and right lately.

I don't relaly know how to fix all this in 5 days. I suppose getting Ellis more PT is a good start. Perhaps getting Jordan Hall back in teh mix might give the DL a jolt. Idk. One thing that I guess is a benfit to us is that we've already played in Lexington and tuscaloosa (and clemson in a non-Sanford venue) so the atmosphere and moment shouldn't be too big for us.

Another under the radar thing I'm curious about is being the underdog for the first time in a long time. And I dont' simply mean wiht the vegas spread. Even if we've been favored to lose to bama by a point or two in the last few years, most people were still on our side. This is the first time since I don't know...Jax 2020 perhaps? or maybe tuscaloosa 2020...taht we are cleraly, objectively, not the better team and everyone will be pickin against us. We haevn't been in that stiuation in a while so hopefully that motivates us.

I hope this is the case but teams develop identities and our team has confidence issues for good reason: we aren't performing well on offense or defense. Beck is certainly capable of an outstanding performance but he can't have turnovers and expect to win. We need good decisions and pinpoint accuracy from Beck.
I'm actually more concerned about the defense. Our DL isn't stopping the run and not getting pressure on the opposing QB. Our outside containment in particular is often shaky.
We have talented but young DBs so I am hoping these have grown up at this point and have a great game. They will need to have their best game of the season for us to have a chance of winning this game.
We will find out soon enough.
Regardless, Gooooooo Dawgs!!

Sometimes the fix to a team is not a starter but a player who has role to serve as the mortar to the bricks. Google Shane Battier in the Miami Heat run in ~2012. Loaded team that was not playing well and it took Battier to play his role to that catalyst.

Nate Frazier is that piece. Just look at how the Clemson game turned in the second half when he got in.

I harp on it because I see it the same every time. He gives this team that “jolt” and it’s powerful. Sadly, he then gets pulled after 1 play.

Who would you rather have in when we must pass?

Branson Robinson?? Bwahahaa

Not sure why you keep bringing up 1 pass play missed blocked from the Tenn tech game.

Also, who cares about that, I saw him block on Saturday and I saw him pick up the yardage we needed.

Also, saw Frazier the dude to carve up Clemson over and over for a blow out win.

Since he hasn’t been playing much we have looked like crap on offense. Ranked #28

I'm not as definitive on this as others. Granted I'd much rather see frazier than robinson (although now that may be out of necessity) but people always cite the clemson game. Yeah he balled out and looked incredible. But people seem to gloss over the fact etienne was suspended that game so we basically HAD to go to frazier after branson/cash. We don' HAVE to go to frazier now.

Etienne is a proven bonafide SEC starter that has proven himself.

Have we looked better on offense as whole since Frazier has not played much?

I would say considerably worse.

I am saying it should be both playing I don’t care who starts. We need both splitting the carries close to evenly

ETN isn’t the mortar to the bricks. He gets roughly the same yards per carry as Frazier but the team doesn’t respond the same

If we run Frazier this week, he kills it and we beat UTx. You all still will go back to some misses block in practice that he made in September

Careful, you’re not a real fan if you step back and give an objective opinion that doesn’t tickle certain ears.

He's missed more than one block. Who is the better blocker, in the coaches eyes, and why? Oh, he's a beast running, but when the chips are down and we must throw the ball, it won't be him. Which brings us to another point, teams scout us and they pick up on things like blocking, etc. So, when Frazier is in there, what are teams going to do? He ran well against Clemson, but I'd be willing to bet one of the reasons was because there was no tape. But starter? No.

Show me his missed blocks after Tenn Tech

Under your premise, he missed 1 block therefore he misses all blocks

ETN is finesse runner he doesn’t wear anyone down

Frazier does though and you need both

Who care who takes the first snap? He should be 50/50 on carries though
