Watching this team is like a straight kick to the balls over and over again and then smashing them again with a shovel.

So much more of the same, Napier is who he is. They almost won in spite of him.

If he’s coach next year I may legit not watch a game.

4-8 or 5-7 better get him fired. Good news, Kiffin will be available earlier than expected. We won’t have wait on playoffs.

Yeah I’m giving it until after the UK game. If he’s still on the sidelines after that L, I’m going to the hunt camp every weekend.

Because our stupid shite boosters and UAA think he just needs more time. The Mertz and Johnson injuries probably bought Napier another season

That loss was 100% on Napier. The fact he wasn’t fired last night pisses me off. The players, fans, alumni, boosters deserve better. How the Gators are losing games is inexcusable.

This game broke me. I was firmly committed to giving this guy a chance. But, wow. The mistakes in this game were so egregious. He totally stole defeat from the jaws of victory. Shame.

Mertz is out the rest of the season
You all got your wish
Lagway will be the guy the rest of the way
If he gets hurt not sure what will happen

Some thought Lagway should start the rest of the year, myself included.

Nobody wished Mertz's season to end with an injury. In fact, I've never heard a bad word said about him as a Gator.

It won’t matter Napier is still calling the plays.

I actually like Mertz and thought he was a decent player but I also wanted him to get playing time to prevent Napier from contaminating DJ with his shitty offense and playcalling as much as possible

Napier will not turn Lagway loose to be the superstar he could be. His excuses will be that he is a freshman and still learning the offense and that we have to protect him because we don't have a backup if he gets hurt.

So, I expect the same ole shite, run up the middle, jet sweep or bubble screen on 2nd down and swing pass for 5 yards on 3rd and 11.

Napier please prove me wrong, I want to be wrong, but I can usually call your next play call from my couch, most of the time. Go Gators!!!

Who are you and what have you done with UFMatt.

Why am I agreeing with every one of your posts now?

I believe everyone is finally on the same page, everyone has seen enough of Napier to know that nothing will change and that he's clearly not the right guy at this point.

I am blindly loyal to a fault and 100% a Gator homer, but at a certain point enough is enough. I gave Napier the benefit of the doubt as I did Mullen, Muschamp, McElwain but when the point of no return has been passed, just like everyone else I believe a change needs to be made. Napier, because of his stubbornness and unwillingness to make the changes everyone but him sees needs to be made, has sealed his fate. I will always be the last one to support firing a coach or to criticize a player because that's the way I am, but even I reach the end of my rope occasionally. Hoping for better days ahead but always Go Gators!

Agreed.

All we need to do is look at the field goal that was wiped off the scoreboard. He's had ongoing substitution issues on special teams and it cost us probably two conference wins (last year and this year). FIX IT DAMMIT! Nobody else has these issues! Identify the problem (coach) and jettison it from the program.

I am so tired of this.
