Did you notice the skull in the first image?
That wasn't the first cow the Sooners killed.

Me too. I’ve got hundreds of programs from old games that my dad went to. Football in that era was so pure

Hey aggy did you catch the sawed horn noting the ‘66 loss in that image?
Funny touch.

Funny, yes, but inaccurate nonetheless.

When did Oklahoma make the change from an injun depiction for their mascot to a white trash depiction?

Great rivalry.
I miss when the games were just bigger to me.
Art was a part of the ticket and the program covers.
It’s just an eticket now I guess. Do they print a ticket?
I miss the old Phil Neel Auburn tickets and programs.

Any old-timers here wanna tell us about Commerce Street before the gangbangers took that away from us?

All of those programs were generated by the University of Texas when they were the home team in the Red River game (odd years)..
In even years OU did the programs and they were more classic, traditional... they didn't do the cartoony ones... Just Texas...
With the OU programs, Texas usually used the "Indian" meme or the old timer homesteader driving the wagon.
As you can see, Texas thought these cartoonish program covers were clever and they used them with all of their opponents for their home games...

I got to go once but never again.
Back then, you didn't yell texas sucks! and exchange rivalry banter back and forth...you punched people if they said ANYTHING. I saw so many fights and people throwing shite from the windows above the street. Just mass chaos.
My old man still tells the story about 1971 when 2 of my uncles were arrested and thrown into Dallas Co jail.
The sheriff's deputies came into the holding area...a huge cell/room with over a 100 drunk idiots (still fighting) and the deputies told them "next one of you cocksvckers fighting in here won't be bonded out until Monday." They still never stopped fighting. 4 people were fighting WHILE he said it.
After that, the deputies shouted "quick question...how many of you have tickets to the game?" About 30 drunk idiots raised their hands...he offered to buy them so they wouldn't have to "eat the tickets." After a while, they realized the deputies were only giving them $5 per ticket. When he got to my uncle he literally ate the ticket right in front of the deputy.
The same cops came back during the game to tell them who was winning and they fought over that, too. I wish I could find the picture they took of my dad and uncles the Sunday after the game. They looked like freed hostages.
To his dying day, My uncle swore that's the greatest OU game he's ever gone to...
It was a different time.
OU won, btw

Awesome.
I miss the game ticket art, as well. E-tickets suckass.
Also, couldn't help but notice they had to drop the price of a program by 50% for Uga vs the price of a Classic Red RIver Shootout.
