Or do you think he is trying to stay away?

Wommack is who should be talking to Saban more than anyone.

If I was Deboer I'd have taken my entire staff and made a pilgrimage to Saban's office first thing Monday morning. I'd probably have done it barefoot and in sackcloth and ashes, too. Maybe even a little self-flagellation to boot. And Saban should have made them all stand patiently in the hallway outside his door for a few hours before finally letting them in.

No. Saban is not coaching the coaches. He has a job.

I think CNS is pulling one foot out of his mouth and other foot out of Wommack's rear end.

You better hope not. As much as we all wish Saban was still coach he's not. DeBoer running to Saban after any significant setback would all but confirm he's not the guy to take over this program. Should he use Nick as a resource when appropriate? Absolutely. But he's got to run his own shite.

The best game Saban can refer to is the 2011 game against Georgia Southern. GSU ran a very similar offense pretty well and was FCS then.

Saban should stay away this week. DeBoer doesn't need the old coach looking over his shoulder after a bad loss. He needs to figure it out himself.

Yeah I think he basically told Coach to get his assistant coaches on the same page, and make sure they’re communicating the right message to the players.
