or Missouri's 7th ranked defense? They seem to be trending in opposite directions. This is not what I thought was supposed to happen with the Blake Baker poaching.

That's a weak expectation. 78th ranked defense. Just behind San Diego State. Way behind Rice, Sam Houston, East Carolina, et al.

On the contrary, we actually get a few stops per game so we are light years better. No where near the level we need to get to but definitely better.

there's also LSU's 104th ranked passing defense that's been getting a lot of attention as well -
tell us more about their 78th nationally ranked total defense - which is ahead of just Mississppi St & Florida in the SEC -

Vandy is pretty good. Buffalo and BC also have quality wins. We'll see how things play out. It all rides on Brady Cook. Everything else is in place.
