How Would You Attack OU Defense?

Just curious to get a read on SEC Rant's collective opinion.
Michigan had excellent defensive tackles and one high quality CB, but the other units as well as the substitute DTs could be attacked. Texas ran the ball wide until the DTs got subbed out and they then went up the gut. Most passes went away from the outstanding Michigan corner.
I haven't watched a lot of OU this year. Has anyone? Their defense was good in the first half against Tenn. How would you scheme to move the ball on the Sooners?

RTDB and speed on the edge.

Have to hit intermediate and deep passes if you can. Run d is too stout to just try to manhandle from the beginning of the game. I think they’re a nightmare matchup for our O.

Running the ball seemed to work.

Just punt on 4th down and let our O give you the ball back with better position.

You think? I didn’t catch the beginning. They looked like they made a lot of stops until they got gassed. We probably would be better off using Green on edge/rollouts with RPOs. I don’t think we’d push them off the line enough to just run hat on hat.

Auburn's plan will be to throw the ball right at their DBs.

Except it didn’t? Lol
Tennessee ran the ball 8 straight times for a TD right before the half.
That and some speed against the DB's seemed to be the 2 places Oklahoma D was weakest at.
But I did only watch the one game.

Thanks!
Texas has one fully healthy RB and he's a true freshman. We have two RBs lost for the season and another two banged up but they should see action against OU if not re-injured. Then we have a converted WR, a graduate transfer, and some walk-ons.
Not sure if we can run the ball on OU straight up. The receiver corp is much healthier and actually one of the best units of the team. Hmm, it seems likely Sark will emphasize the pass if Ewers is ready for OU. If we play Manning, he undoubtedly will protect him with more runs.

Looking for tips? They will beat you. I see 2-3 losses in your future.

OK. Maybe you can make some money with the bookies with that.

And Tennessee's going undefeated, is that right?

1st half of the Vols game worked very well and was still open in the second half but Josh showed mercy by running up the middle with 8 in the box most of the second half.
Semi mobile QB that can stretch the field with TEs should move up and down the field at will on them.

Play against them on a turf that doesnt resemble a pasture

They have a very good DL but it’s difficult to say when we had to rearrange the entire line bc of 2 tackles being out. They were vulnerable in passing and got gashed when the box wasn’t stacked as well as a few times when it was. We ran ball control as soon as we could but even prior we played pretty conservatively. Boring af but OUs offense wasn’t coming back and though Hawkins seems a little better about making decisions he still isn’t doing much with an OL like theirs.

By huddling up and/or changing all of the signals for that game with wristbands..

With passing and running of the ball. Get enough first downs to keep moving down the field. And get the ball across the goal line more times than they do!

LMAO!! Best post of the day so far.
Tx could go a step further and try “hurry up and stop” offense. Meaning why wait for 4th down to punt just punt on 1st down with no returner back and then your idea works even better.
