Expect them to get votes for #1 after the trip to Norman. Venables is capable of changing it up and confusing Nico, but is he bold enough?

Chokelahoma has no defense. This could get ugly for them.

They will get some votes but likely not enough.

Tenner doesn't give off that "complete" team vibe, not a team that could win it all.

21 plus is insane. Oklahoma will be far more fired up for this than they’ve been against early non conference teams.

Number 2 offense AND number 2 defense isn’t complete?

Not played anyone to be taken seriously in either category but especially defense.

They're doing what they usually do. Heupel pads his stats against inferior opponents, but as soon as they run into a defense that can control the line of scrimmage, his offense becomes anemic in a hurry. It's why they never beat UGA.

have you played anyone? Give it a few SEC games before you start talking stats

He’s talking vibes. I can use early stats for vibes.

Like we did to LSU in 22? Y’all act like Heupel has been here for longer than he has.

Watching y'all's game against UK, I'm not sure your defense is much better than ours.

It could get ugly for us, but that's because our offense kinda blows, not because our defense does. This isn't your 2010s OU team. Quite the opposite, actually.

We didn't control the line of scrimmage in that game. For all its glitz and glamor, Heupel's up tempo offense is predicated on the run. Stop the run and you stop his offense.

1st season Heupel takes worst team Tennessee has ever had to a bowl.
2nd season Heupel takes a team that should have been an 8 win team at best to playoff contender.
3rd season Heupel takes Joe Milton and a decimated WR corps and manages 9 wins.

But yeah he has a history of just padding stats. Those 128th ranked secondaries sure were stat padders

You all freak out whenever anyone else has success. Instead of enjoying where you are you’re afraid someone else might have a good time. That’s insecurity. You’re the opposite of BAMA fans who were quite secure in their dynasty. Fact is I have never seen a fanbase more terrified of everything and everyone around them. It’s bizarre af.

You can have skepticism about them going forward and that's fine, but they've put everything on the field that you'd like to see to this point when looking for a contender.

Nah, we saw how UT acted when they spent a week at number one 2 seasons ago.

Talk about going overboard.
