Was Harsin the problem? Maybe the problem is Auburn.

Auburn has a losing record at home in the last 36 months.

The Jordan-Hare Voodoo threads are interesting and some of the comments are witty, but it's also not rooted in reality. When are all of these times that Jordan-Hare voodoo kicked in? Georgia is 20-12 all time in Jordan-Hare, and the only loss in my lifetime that was voodoo-ish was 2013.

2-17 vs teams finishing in Top 25 (both wins by Harsin in 2021 in back to back weeks @ Arkansas, vs Ole Miss)
8-11 vs P4/5 teams at home (also losses to New Mexico State)
0-8 vs Alabama/Georgia

Alabama 4 seasons - Shula (2003-2006)
26-23 overall
13-19 SEC
15-22 vs P4/5 opponents
2-15 vs teams finishing in Top 25

And Bama had scholarship reductions and was on probation. I guess Gus and Harsin did the same for AU.

i've alwasy said this .People act like there's some crazy mystique but the reality is that, jsut like eveyr other stadium in america, USUALLY the better team wins. Games that people will frequently cite like UGA and AL in 2017...people gloss over the fact that AU ended up ranked #2 in america after that. Sure those endings were insane but AU was a dman good football team at the time.

I will say that they DO tend to play way better than expectation against bama at JHS even if AU is really awful, 2021 and 2023 being perfect examples. But overall they generally lose to teams they should and beat teams they are equal/better than just like any other team does.

The Jordan Hare thing really only applies to games with Alabama. They've played 7-14 pts better than expectation against Alabama at home almost every game there since the series moved on campus, and especially during the Saban era. There are very few exceptions - 1997 (Scissum fumble) and 2001 ("Black Saturday") are really the only ones. Even the 2011 game was close at halftime.

The voodoo thing has kind of been replaced with all of them just being wild games in Auburn. 2009 (Bama TD under 1 min), 2013 (Kick 6), 2019 (INTs for TDs, Bama missed FG), 2021 (Bama TD drive under 1 min), 2023 (4th and 31) were all wild endings.
